Fighting Fire with Fire

Chapter 2

I could feel the excited energy of the others, and started to be infected by it soon enough, becoming excited to be going also. Waiting for class to start, I sat on Kiri's desk as we talked, pissing off a boy in glasses, but frankly I don't care enough to listen to him as he went on about how the upperclassmen used to sit in them. Instead Kiri and I started telling stupid jokes to each other, and I came up with the ultimate joke for him, "why did the tectonic plates break up?" I asked smiling really big. "Why?" Kiri asked the disappointment already in his voice, "it wasn't their fault, but there was too much friction between them."

I started dying of laughter, as Kirishima gave a disappointed sigh, not knowing what to say. While laughing, I looked around the room, and made eye contact with the angry pomeranian, and as soon as we made eye contact, he turned away real quick. The bell rang, and I instinctively jumped off of his desk and went straight to mine.

"After attendance, we're heading straight to the buses, and your cases will already be there, so you won't need to bring anything with, also All Might was supposed to join us, but due to personal reasons, he won't be able to join for a while" Aizawa explained, his voice still tired, and did as he said. I waited for my name to be read off, and as soon as I responded, I zoned out. I wonder why All Might won't be there, he's the symbol of peace, we are so lucky that we get to have him as a teacher this year anyways. I didn't realize we were done until I saw everyone get out of their seats, and I did the same, walking out of the class and we headed to the buses. 

As I got on the bus, I sat in an empty seat, and another girl sat next to me, she has long green hair, and big innocent eyes, "I'm Tsuyu Asui, but I prefer Tsu," she told me without hesitation. "Aris," I say, now interested, "I like your hair," I tell her, trying to keep the conversation going, and I watched as her eyes lit up hearing me say that, and it was so adorable, "thanks," she said smiling at me. That's it, I have to protect her no matter what.

"You know, with a quirk like yours, you could be a real threat to the opposing team," she said out of nowhere, "yeah, that's why I want to be a hero, so the other side doesn't stand a chance of winning in the future," I explained. Its my go to response for questions as to why I want to be a hero, its less awkward to explain instead of saying my mom is forcing me to do all of this, and its all I know now.

The whole ride I felt a pair of eyes on me, and of fucking course it was blondie, he always looks like he wants to say or do something to me, but whats stopping him? Nothing, so why not just say or do it? "You doing alright Bakagou?" I asked trying to get a response out of him, and boy did I get a response. 

"I swear to God you little bitch, if you don't stop calling me that," he started, but Kirishima grabbed him by the arm, "calm down bro, she just asked if you were good," I could hear the sense of panic in his voice mixed with laughter, how short is his temper?

"You really poke his buttons," Tsu said, "I've only known him for one day," I point out, its true, so why do I hate him so much, and why does he hate me too? She nodded, putting her finger next to her mouth, "hes just irritable," she said with a clueless kind of tone, and I started laughing, agreeing with her.

The ride was short like Aizawa said, and when we got off, I could feel that something was off in the air, but I didn't focus on it, being to excited to use my quirk in its natural environment. We all grabbed our cases, and went to the changing rooms, I slipped into my black shirt that cut off at the ribs, my black pants, boots, and attached my water pouch to my chain-like harnesses. 

Walking out, I adjusted my plain golden chain bracelet, and waiting, being one of the first people to finish getting ready, but that made sense, seeing how my outfit is pretty simple compared to the other's. The less there was, the better for me because I'm able to connect with the elements better when there's less between me and them. I didn't need to wait too long for everyone to finish getting ready, and their outfits looked really cool and creative, especially Tsu's and Bakugou's as much as I dislike him, I have to give him credit.
