often, we feel alone
we have thousands of steps to go, as I learned from a stranger
some, have more than others
speak for the voiceless, they say
but how can you speak for the weak, the lost,
when you are weak and lost yourself?
how can you speak for the ones lacking in confidence,
when you are shy and frail yourself?
how can you speak for the angry, the hurt,
when you are tortured yourself?
and most importantly, how can you possible speak for the silent,
when you don't have the ability to speak at all?
this is the problem, with society today
we expect to be able to solve others problems,
without fixing our own lives first.
is this a fault?
or is it what allows us to survive?
constantly, I feel lost, and confused
walking to the light, but the light blinds me
some times, I don't know how to walk
and some times, it's easiest to walk backwards,
than to follow the light.
