— Being the detective sergeant of the Chicago Police Department held a lot of responsibility. A lot was expected of you and many looked up to you. Many would fold under the weight of the world. Having that much pressure on you to lead your team and capture the crooks that crawled the streets of Chicago while keeping your officers in check? It took a special kind of person. It took someone like Atticus Woods. He was a strict leader and he didn't hesitate to fire any officer and detective who stepped out of line. He made sure his people were protected. Protester, bystander, criminal, etc. It didn't matter to Atticus because they were human beings to him.
When a new cannibal starts snatching citizens off of the streets and eating their hearts, Atticus Woods was hellbent on finding the culprit and serving justice. Little did he know that they were actually dealing with a werewolf. When the Winchesters rolled into town and basically took over the case, Atticus wasn't very happy. He wanted them gone until an incident occurred and left him with no choice but to use their knowledge on the supernatural.
