Dear Diary, 5/13/40
Hi, I'm Lien Van Leeuwen, I am twelve years old and I live in North Rotterdam, Netherlands with my Mom, Grandfather, and Brother, Hubertus (Hubie). I got this diary as an early birthday present, tomorrow I turn 13. Here is what I wish for: New Clothes, A puppy or a goldfish, new school supplies, and a new soccer ball. I should probably tell you about my Dad. My Dad was a landscaper for a big landscaping company, but he was lawn mowing one day and the mower exploded and he died from major trauma to his chest, and now we live with my Grandfather.
