You glanced around the alley. Botfighters were swarming the place, and you gripped your little robot anxiously.
After a turning on your robot, you shoved your way through the crowd and sat down. "We have a challenger-" the lady said, gesturing to you - "and we have a champion!" She pointed to your opponent. You took at good look at the enemy, and you almost dropped your controller.
"Hiro? Tadashi's brother?" you asked in disbelief. Hiro looked up. "Oh, hey, it's the bread - loving girl!"
The viewers looked at each other in confusion. Why were the competitors chatting?
While Hiro was distracted, you slashed at his bot. Hiro snapped to attention and slashed back. While the two bots shoved at each other, you grinned at Hiro. "Nice little magnet you got there," you teased.
"It's not the bot," Hiro replied defensively. "It's how you use it."
"Really? Prove it," you snickered, slicing Hiro's robot in half. Your robot kicked the pieces out of the ring, then flexed its muscles.
"Seriously?" Hiro growled. "I never lose!"
"This might be your unlucky day, bud," you sang, plucking the money off the tray victoriously.
You walked out of the alley, Hiro following you. "Can you show me some bot- building secrets?" he begged.
"My lips are sealed," you replied.
"PUH - LEEZE?" Hiro pleaded, making puppy dog eyes.
You smiled. "Okay, fine."
