1. Highscore

"Come on Runa..." she mumbled to herself as she smashed the red button on the arcade machine. She bit her tongue in concentration as she quickly pushed up her glasses. The girl was currently playing her favorite arcade game called "Street Fighter X." It had taken her hours to get close to beating the current high score on the game set by somebody named BOOM. Runa had set the previous high record and wanted to keep it that way. She quickly hit a special sequence of buttons and hit a finishing combination move.

The screen lit up and flashed New High Score across the screen.

"YES! YES!" Runa screamed, jumping in circles. "WOOP!"

The others in the arcade looked over at her, and some even chuckled. Runa had noticed and stopped jumping when she saw the people staring at her. She blushed and quickly went back to the game. She put in her name RUNA atop the leaderboard, then stepped away proud of herself.

Man this has been a great day so far! Training went amazing, and got my highscore place back... Now candy is the only thing that could make this day better.

Runa left the game, making her way to the wall with all the vending machines. She was carefully checking every available candy, while having an eternal debate in her head.

"Hey Bakugou, someone beat your highscore," a voice rang out, which caught Runa's attention. She looked toward the voice and saw a group of middle school boys standing at the "Street Fighter X" game she was just at. A spiky blonde haired boy stood amongst them looking up at the screen in disbelief.

"Impossible. He just set it yesterday, and that took him hours..." a different boy said. The blonde's eye twitched.

"Are you f*cking kidding me?" The blonde yelled. Runa laughed lightly to herself watching the scene unfold.

That's what you get for stealing my spot on the scoreboard. Runa thought as she pressed buttons on the machine for a snickers. She pulled out her candy bar, and started eating it as she walked over towards Dance Dance Revolution.

"Hey! Which one of you f*ckers are Runa?" a voice boomed. The whole arcade fell silent. Runa stopped and looked back at the groups of boys. The blonde was absolutely fuming. Runa swore she could see steam coming from his hands.

"Me." Runa said.

The blonde whipped his head in her direction, and marched over to her, still visibly enraged.

"You're Runa?" he asked harshly.

"Yes. You Boom?" Runa said, biting into her snickers.

"Yes."

"Cool." Runa took another bite. Boom glared at her. "What do you want?" she asked.

"I want my f*cking highscore back!"

"Nah." Runa casually said before taking another bite of her candy bar.

"I have the highest score on most of these f*cking games, what in the h*ll gives you the right to take my spot?"

"Quarters." Runa replies, then raises her candy to take another bite. Boom snarled and swatted the candy bar out of her hand. Runa eyes widened. "My candy..."

Boom smirked at Runas' sad face.

"Hah! That's what you get for being a smart*ss." He said crossing his arms. Runa glared back at him.

"You owe me a new candy bar," Runa growled out.

"Then f*cking play me for it so I can show everyone here I'm the best." he replied.

"Oh, you are gonna wish you never said that."

"You regret challenging me yet Bakugou?" Runa teased biting into another candy bar. Bakugou grumbled while taking a drink of his water. It had been weeks since Bakuguo knocked Runas candy bar onto the floor and challenged her. They had played each other countless times since. However, Bakugou had ended up on the losing side more often than not against Runa, and he had just lost to her again.

"What do you want this time?" Bakugou asked. "Hmmm" Runa sat there and thought for a moment.

"I want you to take me out on a date." She answered which caused Bakuguo to spit out his water spraying the screen in front of them.

"What?!" He yelled in surprise.

"A lot of girls at my school have been talking about going on dates and I wanna go on one."

"Not f*cking that! I meant like a candy bar or drink!" Bakugou yelled. Runa shook her head.

"Nope, you said anything before we started today. And I want to go on a date." Runa crossed her arms. "Or are you going back on your word? Hm, Mr. Sparky Boom Boom?"

Bakuguos left eye twitched. "Don't f*cking call me that!"

"A date or the nickname. Your choice." She started which made Bakugou growl in frustration.

"Fine, Get up." Bakugou said standing up and walking away.

"Why? Where are we going?" Runa said following Bakugou.

"On your sh*tty date!" Bakugou barked. He looked away from Runa with a small blush on his face. They walked side-by-side down the block and turned right. Runa's eyes lit up when she saw what they were heading for.

"We are getting ice cream!?" Runa asked excitedly. Bakugou couldn't even answer as Runa proceeded to grab him and dragged him the rest of the way there. Runa stopped in front of the ice cream cart.

"Welcome," the vendor said.

"Hello," Runa said looking at their flavors. Bakugou grumbled. "I want the biggest cone of double chocolate chunk you can give me."

The vendor nodded. "And for you?"

"A hot fudge sundae."

"Coming right up." The Vendor scooped out their ice cream. Runa's cone stood an impressive five scoops high. Bakugou handed over his money and took the ice creams from him. Runa grabbed her cone happily from Bakugou.

"Thanks." Runa said to Bakugou, with hearts in her eyes as she looked up at her ice cream. Bakugou blushed lightly, then went back to grab a spoon for his. The vendor laughed, "Such a cute young couple." Bakugou heard him and sent him a death glare. Runa didn't pay attention as she drooled over the sugary goodness in front of her.

"Lets go to the park and eat." Bakugou said. Runa nodded. Her feet automatically started to carry her towards the nearby park. Runa never took her eyes off her treat so Bakuguo had to make sure Runa wasn't gonna run into anything. If she did she would probably cry over the ice cream he figured, plus he would have to buy another one.

Runa walked to the closest bench, and the moment her bottom hit the seat, she began devouring her ice cream. Bakugou sat next to her, eating his. Every once in a while he would glance over.

How in the h*ll is she not getting a brain freeze? Bakugou thought as Runa was almost halfway done with her ice cream. About 10 minutes later, they were both done with their ice cream. Runa leaned back patting her tummy.

"That was good."

Bakugou rolled his eyes.

"How did you not get a brain freeze?" Runa shrugged. Her phone beeped.

"Looks like it's time to go home. Meet me at the arcade at the usual time, " Runa said standing up.

"Why?"

"It's my turn to take you out on a date." She said with a wide grin and slight blush then turned and ran home.
