As the school days go by, the week of the exams get closer and closer for the students. Some would study all day and all night with coffee, some would procrastinate until the last hour, and some would just not study at all. Some study all by themselves, but not the little friend group made up of unique boys and girls.
Hanae and Kishibe
The school's study room was usually empty during lunch break. But nowadays, two students have been using this room, preferring a quiet place for them to study.
Often times, they would just sit down and prepare for the exams together, sharing notes and all, both being considered smart in school.
But, Kishibe has been staring worriedly at the girl in front of him, Hanae, who was seemingly looking a little stressed and troubled.
He didn't like seeing her that way. He figured it was only because of the exams, but a part of him is telling him to ask her about it.
The girl didn't notice herself getting deep into thought, her eyes slightly tightening at the notes in front of her. Something was troubling her for a while now, and it's been worrying both her and the boy in front of her.
"Hanae?"
The girl's eyes ripped their gazes from the notes, quickly darting over to Kishibe's teal ones. She saw that they held worry in them. He must've noticed...
"Yes?" She replied, her voice low.
The boy examined her face, knowing that there was definitely something troubling her. So, with a soft, calming voice, he asked her, "What's bothering you?"
He definitely noticed... She thought to herself. She was still hesitating on telling him, but when she felt his hand slide over to on top of hers comfortingly, giving it a gentle squeeze, something in her just told her that it's okay. It's okay for her to tell him.
She sighed as she smiled, knowing that there's no stopping him. Soon, she turned her hand and held his too, both of them holding each other, perfectly comfortable with it.
"Tell me what's troubling you, Nae." He whispered, his thumb beginning to stroke her hand.
She thought for a bit, biting her bottom lip. "It's just... My mom, she..."
Kishibe patiently waited for her, his eyes locked solely on her. He saw that she was looking sadder and deep in thought, which only hurt him to see. "She...?"
"... She said that she'll make me switch schools if I don't get high grades and I just... don't want that to happen." Her free hand was tightened into a fist, the fear of actually leaving the school filling her heart.
She didn't want to worry him, not wanting him to go through more just because of her.
But when he stood up from his chair, her head gradually raised to see him smiling down at her. She stood still, her eyes directed at him, lost in his as his other hand lifted itself from the table, then going to her cheek little by little.
The light from the setting sun only made her look more precious to him, his expression turning to one of adoration and care as he gently cupped her cheek, stroking it as smoothly as possible.
He was there for her, and he wanted her to know that.
"Hey," he began, his voice almost in a whisper. "It'll be okay."
"You're smart, I'm sure of that. I know that you can do it. You're capable of so much, and I've seen that many times already. All that studying? It shows that you're a hardworking person. The sleepless nights and stressing over homework and projects? It means that you try. You try hard, and that's more than enough."
"I'm really proud of you, Hanae..." He said softly, his hand bringing hers to his lips and planting a sweet kiss on it. "You've done so much amazing things... And you can do so much more."
"I believe in you."

Ange and Atsuya
Atsuya's eyes glared at the paper, the pencil that he was chewing already out of shape and full of bite marks as he stressed out over the study material.
"Graaah!" He grunted out, clutching his thick orange hair in frustration. "This is too hard~!"
He heard a "shh!" from beside him, making him look over at Ange, who was looking so done with him and his wailing. "Would it be hard for you to stay quiet!?" She whisper-yelled at him, her eyes tightening as her patience was draining.
She was pretty sure that the librarian was just itching to kick the two of them out of the supposedly quiet library, so she knew she had to keep him in check.
She loved the troublesome boy, but sometimes he just gets into her nerves, like right now.
He then resorted to whisper-yelling as well. "It's not my fault this thing is hard to understand!" He backed, genuinely mad as well, but for a different and, well, bad reason.
Ange's eye twitched. "But-" She took a deep breath in to calm herself down.
It didn't work.
She then slammed her hands on the desk, abruptly getting up from her hard wooden seat, her eyes showing so much anger that even Atsuya got intimidated.
"I've explained that to you five times now! How much more explaining will it take for it to get into your nut brain!?"
With that, all heads in the library turned to the two, including the librarian who just about had it. The woman sighed and stood up from her chair, heading straight for the noisy couple.
Once she reached them, she stood in front and placed a hand on her hip, pointing a finger at the exit.
"You two, out. Now" She sternly told them, narrowing her eyes at their guilty form.
She watched the two kids leave, her head shaking when the girl nudged the upper arm of the boy in annoyance. When will they learn..? She sighed to herself before going back to her spot.
As the two left, Ange first made sure that the door was closed, and that nobody was nearby before finally unleashing her pent up irritation on Atsuya, her face showing multiple levels of anger.
"Pucha- Putang ina kang gago ka!" She sweared in her native language, knowing full well that Atsuya wont even understand, but she still felt like saying it.
"Woah- harsh." The boy let out, faking getting offended as he dramatically placed a hand over his chest.
"You don't even know what it means." Ange huffed, crossing her arms.
"But I do?"
She began to sweat worriedly on the inside. "No you don't."
But the smirk on his face makes her feel that he really does. Still, she kept the facade.
The cocky boy's smirk only grew smugger as he crossed his arms too, lifting his chin confidently. "Well guess who learned swear words in twenty-one different languages."
For the nth time that day, Ange's eye twitched at his non-sense. "You-"
"Yep!" Atsuya confirmed proudly, but he didn't know how much trouble he was going to be in.
"You mean... YOU SPENT TIME LEARNING FUCKING SWEAR WORDS BUT NOT LEARNING THE THINGS WE HAVE TO IN SCHOOL!? WHAT THE F-"
