Kirstie: Explanations

I sat down on a chair my eyes glued to Mitch's. He was still half hiding under the blanket but he was wearing an old tshirt that Scott had arrived in that read: 'Tap the spacebar to produce some beats' , his almost translucent hand gripping Scott's like it was life line. Avi was sitting next to me, with Melissa to my right. Mitch's eyes were focused on Avi's ready to take in every word he says and with that Avi began to talk:

"Hey Mitch, my name is Avi and I'm guessing you're pretty confused about why you're here in this old barn with a bunch of random people who all have fatal injuries but don't seem to be in pain." Mitch nodded meekly,before Avi continued to speak "Kid I don't know how to put it but we're not alive." Mitch let out a whimper, Avi cleared his throat before saying

"But we're not dead. We are void as in void of a place in this world. By medical definition we are dead but we are still here and people can see us.Does that make sense?" Mitch meekly nodded again and squeezed harder on Scott's hand. Avi continued:

"So we're void meaning we have no place to go blah blah blah. There is a way for us to go to a place we can go and be happy and not have to suffer like this. The only way we can get to this 'other side' is if we can work out how we got here, who we are and why us 6 were brought together. We can only do this together kid, and the only clues we have are our first names and injuries.  No-one can remember anything else. This is what we have to do in order to be happy, its not the best life but we're all close. Maybe together we can work everything out and be happy and stop ourselves from being forgotten once we pass over to the 'other side'.  We'll look after you. I promise. We all do." Avi finished before looking down at Mitch. Mitch stood up and walked towards Avi. He  flung his arms around him and pulled him into a hug. Scott smiled at Mitch.

"So who wants to show Mitch what clues we have so far?" I said smiling at the kid. He walked over to me and grasped my hand. I flinched at how cold he was and took his hands in mine in an effort to warm him up.

"Lets go!" Kevin replied, you could already see him organising the clues we currently had in his mind. He was extremely clever and huge help but there was something about Mitch that made me think he was the missing piece to this puzzle.
