Kabanata tatlo
"Enough for the introduction, shall we go." Nilahad niya ang kamay niya papasok sa loob.
Pagpasok namin sa loob ng school. I was amaze. This schools looks like a royal. Gold, red, from the furniture to the floor are made to look royalty.
"Mom, are you sure we can afford to enrolled me to this kind of school? I don't think we can? Look." Bulong ko kay Mom habang linilibot ko ang pangingin ko sa paligid. I mean hindi kami mahirap at hindi kami mayaman na pumasok sa ganitong ka elite na school.
"Mandy, this school are free. And this is the only school in this place." Mom answered. This is the only school? And it's free?! I can't believe it! "And I think this is the best for you." She smiled.
"So what is your specialties?" Napatingin ako kay Miss Miranda. Specialties? Like talents?
"You mean talents? I can draw." I simply answer. She looks at me like I was telling a joke.
"No, I mean like magic, spell, stones."
Napatawa ako ng kunti sa sinabi niya, "Is that even real?" Is she joking? I laugh a little. Napatigil ako dahil ako lang ang napatawa. And they give a serious face.
"So she didn't know." Ngayon nakatingin siya kay Mom. Ano ang hindi ko alam? Is there something Mom didn't tell me?
Humarap sa akin si Mom and smiled, "Mandy, listen. Do you remember what I told you? About your great grandmother. It's true. All of them are true. You are a witch Mandy, like us. Hindi lang namin sinabi sayo dahil gusto namin ng Daddy mo na talikuran ang pagiging witch at mamuhay ng ordinaryo. But, there is something that we cannot hold. And it's best that you should not know in the end." Mom paused. Hinawakan niya ang mukha ko at hinalikan ang noo ko. Then the tears that I keep holding falls down.
"Sorry for not telling you the truth."
"It's okay Mom, I know that it was for my safety - our safety." I replied. Pinunasan ko ang luhang natitira sa mata ko at ngumiti. Bumalik kami kay Miss Miranda.
Tumingin ako kay Miss Miranda and smile. "Are you okay?" Miss Miranda ask. "I am, thank you."
"So I was saying, this school is build by the founder of this land for us to keep our identity safe and to protect us from danger. And all the student here posses different kind of specialties - or magic. Some are elemental, spells, potion, stones, and incantation. And no ordinary people will enter this place. And also this schools have a rules. No one must use their magic unless it's needed. And-"
Napatigil si Miss Miranda sa pagsasalita dahil may kumatok sa pinto. "Come in."
Pumasok dito ang isang napakagandang babae. I guess magkasing edad lang kami. Long black wavy hair, pointy nose, red lips and pale skin. Ang kulay ng balat niya ang unang mapapansin mo dahil sa kakaibang kulay nito. Icy white.
"Pinapatawag niyo po daw ako?"
"Oh yes, I want you to tour Miss Mandy around the school. While me and her mother will talk about something important."
"Okay Miss."
Tumingin ako kay Mom at yumakap. I think this is a goodbye. I will miss her so much. "Pakabait ka, and do your best okay?" Dahil ito na ang huling pagkikita namin ni Mom. All the student here are required to stay here in school.
I nod. Lumabas na ako sa office ni Miss Miranda. Naabutan kong nakaupo yung babae kanina sa tabi ng pinto.
Tumayo siya ng nakita ako. "Hi, I'm Jidelle Rose, I'm the secretary of the Councilary."
"Mandy, Mandy Snow."
"So your new. Well I think Miss Miranda tell you the basic information about the school right? So what is your specialties?" She asked while walking in this long hall.
"I don't know. Ngayon ko lang kasi nalaman na isa akong Witch." Napatigil siya sa paglakad at tiningnan ako. "That's the case. Well hindi na rin ako nagulat." What is she talking about?
"As you know...maraming katulad natin ang gustong talikuran ang kanilang pagiging witch dahil sa nangyari noon. At katulad mo, ngayon lang ulit sila nagpapakita sa napakahabang taon."
"So don't worry, I will help you to adjust." Ngumiti siya sa akin.
"Thank you." Binuksan ni Jidelle ang pinto na nasa dulo ng hallway and here I am again totally amazed what my eyes see.
Garden!
"Beautiful right?" Hindi talaga mawala ang mga mata ko sa mga bulaklak na nakalibot sa buong lugar. Napakaganda!
"But be careful, those flowers are called phoenix tears flower." Phoenix tears flower?
"What do you mean?" Tiningnan ko ng maigi ang isang bulaklak na tinuro niya. And suddenly it start to burn and become ashes after.
"Those flowers are came from the tears of the phoenix. After a week they will burn into ashes and start to grow again. Like a phoenix does."
"Mandy, let's go. We need to know your specialties before knowing your group will."
Pumasok kami sa susunod na pintuan sa dulo ng garden. Pagpasok namin napansin ko agad ang isang napakalaking dyamante na nasa gitna.
"Oh Jidelle, why are you here? Are you miss me?" Hindi ko agad napansin ang isang matandang lalaki na papalapit sa amin.
"She needs to know her specialties, Arno." Pagtataray niya. Bakit parang may kakaiba sa dalawang ito?
"Oh, okay, why so stingy?"
"Just do it!" Napangiti na lang siya sa sinabi ni Jidelle.
"Okay okay. By the way I'm Arno Travis, classmate ko yang si Jidelle."
What?! Bakit mukha siya matanda?
"But your looks...? Nagtataka kong tanong. Walang magaakala na kasing edad lang namin siya.
"Oh this, hahah nagkaroon kasi ng problema sa ginagawa kong potion. But don't worry it's nothing serious. Follow me." Nagsimula siyang maglakad papalapit sa malaking dyamante na hugis bilog. Tiningnan ko si Jidelle sa likod at mayroon siyang ginagawa.
"You just need to place your hand into the stone and I will do the incantation that's it." It's simple from what I imagined.
Lumapit ako sa stone at pinatong ko ang kamay ko doon. Arno start to say something different language and the the stone start to glow in different color.
After a second the glow stop changing, "It's Dark." They look at me like there is something bad. They look each other in worry eyes.
