Benched

(SKYLAR POV)

"Ugh hurry up Ash were gonna be late at this is my first day!" As i yell at Ash who is trying to keep up with me i notice something under a bench sparkling. "Huh what is that"as if an angel was calling me get pulled over to the twinkling light i then  notice that it is a book with only a few pages and on that book it has a little clock attached to it.

"SKYLAR where are YOU?!" in my own little world i ignored Ash. She then finds me crouching over near a little wooden bench in a dark alley "Skylar there you are i have have been looking for you...wait what are doing?" i answer back holding the pocket sized book in my hand staring at it which im pretty sure no one would leave under a bench on purpose.

"Oh la la you should keep it, it looks to pretty to leave under that bench" Ash admires it then i soon notice..."HOLY WAFFLES WERE LATE AGAIN!!!" i take back the little book out of Ash's hand then shove it into my bag and rush back down the street while dragging Ash along.

I slam the classroom door open dragging everyone's attention."Your LATE MISS SKYLAR" in surpise i notice that Mr Miles is my class teacher and let me tell you i had him in 6th grade and he was nasty just thinking about made have goose bumps."I-im s-sorry M-Mr Mil-es!" While im gasping for air i then notice i was 1 hour LATE and i thought i was on 30 minutes late... :(

As i pull open my chair Mr Miles walks past me desk handing me my homework and to already make my morning even MORE worse Mr Miles gives a letter saying i have to do a review on MOBY DICK while the other students get easy books!!!

*rolls eyes* " umm Mr Miles why do i have to get Moby Dick?" i try to sound like im not  whinning but then some girl gives me a dirty look then yells "QUIT WHINNING!" which brings the whole classes attention even some teachers outside our door! I fake a smile and quickly open my book start to read trying to hide my bright red face and watery eyes.

(Ash POV)

Hours passed by and School had finished and i am already hoping to see Skylar. While im skipping down the hallway with a big smile i soon notice Skylar is not full of rainbows or unicorns."whats wrong you look a little down" trying to not make it look like i was happy a minute ago"oh you know" *looks at Ash and then yells* "Mr Miles!!"

"ohh.....well i mean look at the bright side it cant be that bad..can it?" And just like that she falls silent but with my random brain i metion the book we found earlier to lighten the mood and get her off the subject that she had a bad day. "ohhh yeah" *grabs book out from her  bag* while im waiting for her to get her bag off her shoulders and grab the book out i sat on a near by bench.
