"How come she married him?" Harry asked miserably. "She hated him!"

Sirius saw an 11-year-old hazel eyed boy gazing adoringly at a fiery redhead as she passed him in the corridor.

He saw a 12-year-old boy with black rimmed glasses running his hands through his messy raven black hair whenever he saw the green-eyed beauty glance his way.

He saw a 13-year-old teenage boy asking the brightest witch of her age every day only to get rejected each time.

He saw a 14-year-old mischievous boy trying to mask his heartbroken expression each time he got turned down by the muggle-born witch he claimed to love.

He saw a 15-year-old boy writing the initials "L.E" continuously as he thought of a future with the girl he loved-a future he was now uncertain would be real-

He saw a 16-year-old loving boy desperate for any form of attention from who he was certain was "the one" for him.

He saw a 17-year-old understanding boy pushing aside his feelings to be a friend to the girl who needed a shoulder to cry on.

He saw the rose-tinted blush on the glowing redhead's cheeks whenever she caught his best friend looking at her.

He saw his messy haired best friend pacing while doubting himself and why anyone as kind and talented as his beautiful "lily-flower" would ever say yes to going out with him.

He saw the way Lily Evans tried to hide the fact that she didn't hate James potter anymore even when no one else did.

He saw the loving glances hogwarts' "it" couple gave each other almost every minute.

He saw a breathless couple gazing at each other like they are the only people in the world that matter on their wedding day.

He saw an overjoyed couple looking at their first-born son with all the love in the world as they swore to protect him with all they had.

"Nah, she didn't,"
