Sitting in a huge crowd of students Himari felt a little uneasy. Never in her life would she had seen herself in a real school, but she had to go to college. And the only way for her to gain more knowledge and actually get there was going through high school. And like her mother had told her; do not let your father teach you. He does know a lot of things but his way of teaching is a little - well, how should we put this - off.

Himari looks around to see if there was anyone who she could befriend. But lucky to her, she can't find anyone who she could befriend with. Some looked like they already had their own groups and some looked like they didn't need anyone. Himari couldn't even found single one of those kids, now teenagers, she had met five years ago. She was certain some of them lived in Miyagi, but perhaps she was mistaken.

Student council president seemed to talk forever and after him was the vice principal's turn. She feels like falling asleep. Way too long speech at 9 am, is totally not for her. She yawns, just like many other.

Finally after all that they are let go back to their class rooms. Himari sits down on her seat near the back wall. The front was too risky, but eventually if they'd change the seating order, she would end up to the front.

"Alright everyone. Since today is your first day in high school, we are mostly going through a lot of information, rather than straight starting to study. I'm your homeroom teacher Takeda Ittetsu.", he writes his name on the board and then turns around to face the class once again. "Let's do a round around the class. Tell me your name and I'll mark you present." Twenty two students sat quietly in the class until one who sat at the corner next to the windows stood up.

"Rikimaru Eien. Nice to meet you all." Someone let out a relieved breath.

"Shimoda Machi."

"Hamakawa Yutori."

"Tanimoto Fumiya."

"Ishiwata Takahashi."

"Takamori Aiko."

"Sakurai Akinari."

"Akamatsu Mitsuko."

"Doi Koharu."

"Kagawa Yoshino."

"Motozawa Natsume."

"Uranishi Tsukiyama."

"Tao Momoru."

"Aoki Yashushi."

"Hoshino Rumi."

"Shimada Naozane."

"Fukuhara Ren."

"Inai Renzo."

"Ozaki Sai."

"Takei Shoyo."

"Definitely got your name after Hinata Shoyo." Sakurai said making many in the class laugh.

"Totally!" Takei answered.

"Enomoto Kae."

"Nishinoya Himari." It was surprise that Takeda-sensei didn't drop his pen.

"Say Nishinoya, is your father perhaps Nishinoya Yū?"

"Yes." Himari answers a little confused.

"Your father was Karasunos libero over twenty years ago."

"Eh?"

"You didn't know your father was a libero?" Takamori asked chuckling.

"No I did, but he never mentioned this was his school. Or then I just didn't listen."

"If he's your father, then does that mean Nishinoya (Y/N) is your mother?!" Uranishi asks turning around on her chair.

"How do you know her?"

"Volleyball." Inai answers.

"Don't forget Sweet Surprise café & bakery. They have the best pastries in the world." Shimada points out.

"They melt in your mouth!" Doi says.

"Or Chīsana Hoshi!" Ishiwata says.

"Oh yeah, didn't she start running that one as well?" Kagawa wonders.

"It's my number one favorite restaurant ever!" Hamakawa says. Takeda looks a bit amused at the front.

"I'll be sure to tell her that." Himari says with a shy smile on her lips. Takeda had to stop his students so they could move on. They went through emergency and safety rules and so on. School rules, club choices, importance of studying. After all the classes were over Himari said bye to her new friends and went ahead to see what kind of clubs the school has. None of them had yet took her attention so maybe checking out every of them could help her. Himari gave up at some point and walked home.

Himari was now really used to come home and not see anyone there. Her parents were both at work and would come back home later on the evening. She had the whole house for herself. Making something light to eat she turned TV on. As there was really nothing to watch, she eventually fell asleep on the couch. She was woken up by the front door opening.

One thing she had learned over the years was that when her parents came home, it was never quiet. Even if she had her father's personality, mostly, she was still slightly shy. She turns around on the couch and stares at her parents. Only her head from eyes up can be seen.

"My little girl!!" Her father runs to her and crushes her with a bear hug. "All grown up and back from her first day of high school! You can't grow up so fast!"

'Yikes.' Himari thinks watching crocodile tears fall down his cheeks.

"Mommy, help!" Her mother only shakes her head a bit and smiles softly. She knows very well to not disturb the father-daughter moment they had.

"Yū, remember to let her breath." is all she says before walking into kitchen. "Oh yeah, JNWVT is having a camp this weekend." Himari turns to look at her mother.

"Why?" Her mom put her fingers on her chin.

"I wonder. Probably to get away from home for some time. Although I think our manager is running away from her duties."

"Can I come?"

"Himari you know very well you don't have choices except to come. Your father is going abroad Friday and will be there for a week or so and then come back."

"Eh you're leaving?" Himari turns to her father.

"Just for a week. But I'm going to miss my little girl. I'll come back for you as fast as I can."

"Dad, you're crying again."

"Ah, the feeling of being invisible in this family." Himari heard her mother say. Her father loosened his hug and had a serious look when staring at her daughter in the eyes.

"Himari, is it possible for you to spend tonight at your grandparents house? I wanna have a little chat with your mother."

"Eh?"

"Yū!!"
