We rode back into the camp, my mask was back over my face and I was Griff once more. Aegon was hidden away. The girl had told us that her name was "Croft" but I didn't believe it, I doubt Jon or even Watkyn did either but none of us questioned it further. Her accent sounded strange, not from the Free Cities, she sounded like some who come from Westeros, maybe she came here for a new life? We continued on riding through the camp, making our way home.
After some time we arrived at my families tent. Inside, the girl was given some of my mothers clothes and now she is sitting at a table, eating. Further time passed and when night fell Jon called the officers. By this time I was sitting at the table, just opposite Croft and at the head of the table was Jon who still looked angry. Next to him at the corner of the table was my mother, my fake mother. My 'sister' was sitting beside me and Watkyn was sitting on the bed Jon and Ashara used. Inside the tent were a few others, people Jon and Ashara trusted completely with my secret, the people who knew my true name before I did.
Myles Toyne, the Captian-General of the Golden Company and a man with a kind heart but such a cruel reputation. It was thanks to him that I was taken in by the company and being raised by such fine warriors and finer men. He was not the most handsome of men, his nose was quite huge, his jaw crooked and he was jug-eared. He and Jon were good friends, I often wonder... How good?
Black Balaq, My archery teacher and one of the few summer islanders we have in the camp. As said before, he was dark skilled and white-haired. He had a scar going from his jawline on his right side, up to his right eyebrow, going over his eye. The scar grew thinner as it went from jaw to brow. Nothing else stood out about the man other than his cloak of green and orange feathers. The golden arm rings he wore around his arms didn't stand out exactly since most if not all serjeants wore them to show a year of service to the company. Balaq had 8 of them on his right arm and 6 on his left, so he had been with the company for 14 years, long before I was born. He must've come here in his early teen years since he appears to be in his late 20s at the most.
Lysono Maar who he apparently started off as one of Varys "Mice" so Jon tells me. this is how he knew Varys. He was orphaned as a young boy and left to Pentos where he came under the service of Varys. He is in his early 20s and no older, feminine in appearance with full lips, some around the camp mistook him for a camp follower more than once which led to some funny outbursts from the men since Lysono didn't seem to mind the company of men who proceeded to try and get out of the hole they dug for themselves. He was not quite tall, a man of 5'7ft and blond hair that went down to his shoulders but never covered his ears, which had gem earrings in them.
Jon Lothston who I call Loth, He was a tall man who stood at 6'2ft and he used quite a large sword. He had dark ginger hair and a forked beard of the same colour. The two tips of his forked beard had tiny golden balls put through them as decoration seemingly. His beard did a good job at hiding his mouth and some scars, he had two scars on both sides of his face, both starting at the left and right edges of his lips. These scars moved diagonally up in the direction of his ears but stopped just level with the bottom of his eyes. He wore 6 golden rings on each arm, while he was born in the company, he only served as a warrior for 12 years, I knew he was 28 years of age. He was quite well built, is a brute of a man, impatient in nature and not always kind.
A guy called Two Swords, his real name no one knows or at least I don't know. He was called two swords because of his nature of carrying two swords into battle. He had great skill with both hands and wore a sword on both the right and left side of his belt. He was quite skilled with two swords in a dual-wielding motion but he mostly used that in a duel rather than open combat. He was not a remarkably tall man, he was a fair height of 5'10ft and had a good muscular build but he was more agile and fast than he was strong. He seemed Westerosi in appearance, he had quite short black hair with a short stubble that was well kept and tidy. He had 10 golden rings on his right arm and 5 silver rings on his left arm, that was different from others. I knew he came to the company when he was 17 and served since so he was 27.
