Sapphire x Steel

--- POV: They're still trapped in the floating room ;-; ---

"Steel." Sapphire looked at him from where she was sat.

"What?" He answered in a stressed tone seeing if he could find a way to break out still.

"This is going to make us both go insane." Sapphire sighed "Please come and sit down, you're just making yourself more stressed than you need to be."

Steel looked at her for a second before reluctantly joining her at the table she was sat at.

"We need to get out Sapphire. I mean, trust me," Steel looked at Sapphire and smiled slightly "I wouldn't want to be stuck with anyone else for all eternity but you, but..."

Sapphire smiled and blushed slightly "Is that so? Well... what about Jet? I know you two are... quite close..." she sighed.

Steel took Sapphire's hands in his "Although she likes to make out something more, me and Jet are just friends. I've had feelings for someone else for a long time now."

"Oh." Sapphire slightly gasped "Do you mind telling me who?"

"Ah... this... isn't important right now, we've got to get out of here."

"Steel don't you see? We're in here forever. There's no way out. None." Sapphire looked teary-eyed at him.

"Sapphire." Steel pulled her against him and wrapped his arms around her. Sapphire's eyes widened, while letting out a little gasp.

"I will find a way to get us out of here, you hear me?" He said softly in her ear.

"Ah.." She closed her eyes and held Steel.

"Is this why you cared so much about who I had feelings for?" Steel quietly teased.

"Maybe." Sapphire smiled as she looked up at him.

"Well either way Sapphire, I wouldn't worry about that, because you know them, very well."

"Well I could say the same to you about who I have feelings for I suppose" She giggled "But who is it? Ruby?"

"You could?" Steel looked down at her almost in worry. "And also... Ruby? Definitely not. No offence to her, of course."

"Diamond then?" 

"No! Gold probably wouldn't be too happy about that... I thought it would be fairly obvious." He smiled down.

"Well..." Sapphire, embarrassed, smiled while looking away.

"Well I know who you have feelings for anyway..." Steel sighed.

"You do?" Sapphire nervously asked.

"Well, yes. It's Silver, isn't it?"

Sapphire let out a sigh of relief "No."

"What? Then who is it?"

"I thought that would be fairly obvious, Steel." She teased. "It's you. It always has been." 

"Wha-?" Steel slightly blushed. "How?"

"Well, you've always been there for me, protected me, been by my side... do I need to go on?"

"Ah.. um.. no." Steel smirked to himself. "It's a good thing you feel the same way I do about you." 

"Yes I suppose- wait- what?!" Sapphire gasped as she gripped onto Steel tighter.

"Well... I can't help thinking I made it somewhat obvious at certain points."

"Oh Steel..." Sapphire sighed.

"This really... wasn't what I was expecting to happen in here.." Steel looked at Sapphire nervously.

"Me neither... but... I suppose that.. it's better now we've told each other." Sapphire pointed out.

"Yes." Steel allowed himself to smile.

They didn't let go. They just kept their arms around each other.

"Steel." Sapphire looked up at him.

"Yes?"

"I-I love you, Steel. I never thought I'd hear myself say that to you.." Sapphire shyly giggled.

Steel blushed heavily and replied "I... love you too..."
