"Ah, another year passed..." Y/n sighed contently and tucked his hands behind his head.
"Hm... Isn't life crazy like that?" Nezuko mused with little Rokuta on her back.
"Eh? What do you mean?" the h/c asked and tilted his head to the side quizzically.
"Well, I've been around for 12 years, you for 13, and it seems like it's been so long, when in reality its only been a small portion of how long its actually been since the earth was created. These small amounts of years slowly pile on to make billions and billions of years!" Nezuko explained with a bright smile.
"Hm... I guess you're right" Y/n shrugged his shoulders. "Though I have to say, what you said right now was really nerdy" he teased and snickered.
A light blush of embarrassment crept up Nezuko's face. "Oh shut it! Let me live!" she whined and lightly bumped her shoulder against Y/n's. He laughed whole-heartedly.
"Nezuko!" a young Kamado with dark red hair and red eyes waved to them. He was carrying a basket of coal on his back. "And I see you've brought Y/n with you" he stammered. His face turned a slight shade of pink at the sight of his boyfriend.
"Mhm, why wouldn't I bring my best friend with me?" Nezuko giggled and gently nudged the boy.
"Rokuta looks so adorable asleep on your back like that!" Tanjiro gushed and pet his younger brothers hair.
"Yep. I just managed to lull him to sleep. Otherwise he would throw a fit!" the black haired girl laughed.
"He still doesn't seem to like me though..." Y/n chuckled awkwardly.
"Aw, I'm sure its not like that!" Tanjiro comforted with a sympathetic smile.
"He's just lonely since dad died. It's like everyone looks up to you now" Nezuko smiled kindly.
Tanjiro also smiled and continued to play with his brothers hair. "I really should get going though. I have to sell all this charcoal"
"Why doesn't Y/n go with you? I'm just staying indoors all day anyway, and if he sits still for too long he'll go insane. He could blow off some steam by scaling the mountain!" Nezuko offered.
"Oh, that could be fun" Y/n tried to play it off coolly by shrugging, but he couldn't stifle his grin in time.
"Its fine by me" Tanjiro gave an angelic smile, which Y/n couldn't help but reciprocate.
"Alright, I'll go drop Rokuta off. Take care!" Nezuko waved, leaving the Kamado and her best friend alone.
"Let's go" Tanjiro urged and trudged through the snow, Y/n right at his tail. They happily locked fingers as they made their way down.
"So, we're selling charcoal?" the e/c eyed boy asked.
"Mhm"
"In town?"
"Yup"
"Fun" Y/n ended, trying to find a way out of the awkward corner they've backed into. He looked around for something to do and his eyes landed on an abandoned sled in the woods. His lips curled into a devilish grin. "Tanjiro, look" he took his hand, making the red head stop abruptly, and pointed at the sled.
Tanjiro's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "I don't follow..?"
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Y/n asked slyly.
"I think you know I'm not"
"Just wait here" Y/n urged and ran to where the sled was. He swiped all the snow off and shook it to get everything, and then ran back to where Tanjiro was standing, his grin never leaving his face. Kind red eyes followed his every step, curious as to what he was doing. He simply placed the sled on the ground. "Hop on" he instructed. Tanjiro obediently sat down, though he was getting more and more weary by the second. Y/n dragged the sled for a little bit, taking it to the edge.
