"rise and shine" i said to myself while getting up. i did some stretches and found new clothes near the door with my daily routine. seems like a busy day, and it looks like i have a busy schedule. sounds like everyone is waking up at the moment so maybe ill have time to meet new people around. and by the looks of it, guards are opening doors for some of us. i hope david will be with me again. the door opened and one of the guards called me to get out of the cell. i did as they said and and the guards quickly and aggresively escorted me to the cafeteria. they didn't say anything else beside an akward small talk between them about how much they hate this place. i wonder why they hate this so called "prison" so much. beside being employed here and getting less paid every month, and how much work has been stressful for them. while i collect my thoughts on today i didn't realize we already got to the cafeteria, they opened the door and shoved me inside. "no need to be rude!" i shout at them as they are clearly ignoring me and just walk away. i let out a deep sigh and start stepping my way towards the food line


i grabbed a plate with.... whatever boiled egg this is with salad an a piece of bread. while i decided if i want to try the weird looking i felt like someone someone is tapping on my shoulder. i turned around into a very friendly greeting. "hello pal, are you new around these parts of the facility?" he asked. i replied "yea. name's ori, nice to meet you" i went for a handshake. he shook my hand and replied "name's daniel. pleasing meeting a friendly folk around here. looks like we are going to be good pals so let me introduce my fellas over here. follow me." i did as he said and followed daniel until we reached a small table at the edge of the room. at the table there were 3 more people. two of them saw us and waved at us and the other didn't react as much. i sat next to my new friend and daniel started to introduce me to his group "this is josh, the tall one. this is tamir the young one. and she is-"
the girl cut him off "names angelica, i don't talk much. im sorry" i simply nod and reply to everyone "my name is ori, nice to meet all of you. so, can you all tell me what is going on over here?" they all looked down to their place as josh speaked "this place sure is a nightmare... you won't believe me. but there are monsters in here. and our job is to get in close contacts with them. and in the end die by them" my eyes widen as the thought of my demise. i am just 19 years old! what the hell?! "so this place is our grave... isnt it? is this why the scientist told me to watch my back?" i replied. daniel and rebecca nodded while josh let out a deep sigh "kind of" angelica replied. "have you met david and stacy? the guard and the scientist?" i asked they nodded and josh replied "yea, they were d-class like us. lucky bastards got a promotion after surviving that full month. i barely survived an interaction with 049. that bastard gives me chills every god damn time i even walk the halls around his contaiment chamber." 049? i thought. who is 049? i guess ill find out. as soon as we talked an intercom made a weird notification alarm and a computer like voice could be heard in the distance and it said "subject d-91651. please get into the, cafeteria, doors, immidiately." i let out a sigh and said "looks like ive been called. and if i wont answer i will probably be end up dead. so ill take my leave. goodbye daniel, josh and angelica. it was good to meet you all" i said. they waved goodbye and i went to the cafeteria doors. 

 "so? how was breakfast, greenbag?" said a familiar voice. i turned around and got greeted by david. "ah, david. how are you?" he cracked a chuckle and replied "looks like you are doing fine. i am good as well thanks for asking. well i am here to escort you to a speicel room. and also explain a bit about this place. so, come with me while ill explain everything." he said while we started to walk down the halls"so this place is not a simple prison?" i asked which he replies "this is the SCP foundation. SCP stands for 3 words, Secure Contain Protect. and the things we must securing containing and protecting are strange anomalies" "like alians?" i asked. which he redponds "something like that. some are just objects while others are actual creaturs. but today you are visiting 2 of the most nicest anomalies in the facility. which one of them is just a ring, while the other is one of the cutest thing in this place, scp 999. we will start with the ring. and if you managed to take a quick look on the files we gave you, that speciel ring can stop any desease from spreading in your body" i stopped in my track and looked at him "and how the hell its even possible?" i asked him. he just shrugged and answered "i have no idea, this is why we run tests. to learn more about those.. things.. you get it?" i nod and we both approach a large door with a sign that says "scp 714" as david swipped his card in the door. a small buzzer could be heard with a green light and the door opened up. when we entered inside the room there were the ring in a glass box, a scientist i never met and couple of syringes near a weird machine. david closed the door behind us and looked at the scientist

"so today we will run some experiments with item 714. sit down in the chair as i apply the item and then these syringes. they contain some deseases but rest assure. item 714 will defend your immune system it will just sting for a bit" i simply sit down as the scientist take out the emerald looking ring and place it on my fingers. i chuckle and said "so are we vowed to be together until death do us apart"? the scientist let out a chuckle "i guess we are, arent we?" he said while implying the syringes and then watching the monitor. it stinged a lot. i felt like my breath is dissolving my entire lungs. i felt like my insides are being melted away, but after couple of painful minutes the pain went away. the scientist was suprised. "interesting. the things that were in the syringes were a very evolved types of cancer. and looks like the ring can take that down very fast as well... too bad there's only one of these things here, eh? could've saved humanity from every damn plague ever" as i finally catched my breath after my nerve system cooled down, i replied "i... what? i got... but.. it makes no sense!" david then asked "so? anything new we found out?" the scientist said "well, beside taking down big infections... i think its ready for the real test. 049." 049? josh said something about it but i quickly brushed it off. "well, you both are dismissed. i need my coffee time" the scientist said before taking off the ring, placing it back in the container and escorts us out of the room. david asks if i am alright which i nod. and we both pace quickly towards the hallways to my appointment with scp-999
