Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain flour
- pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon sugarSift flour and salt into a bowl that can be removed from your electric mixer, then make a well in the middle.
Break egg into the well and stir in some flour from the sides.
Add milk, a little at a time. When half the milk is used, all the flour must be moistened.
Beat well to remove all the lumps and make light.
When quite smooth, add the remainder of the milk gradually.
Let sit for 1 hour.A/N
An hour seems like a long time but its for a reason!
So thats the instructions for the batter, now for the cooking bit.
Put a non stick pan on the stove and melt some butter on a medium heat.
Then get a spoon and spoon in some mixture into the pan. When they are cooked on one side there will be bubbles popping on the top of the pancake that means you need to flip it. Keep checking the other side to see if its browned when its slightly browed your pancake is ready. Keep repeating this until you have no mixture left.
Serve with lemon, sugar, golden syrup, fruit, nutella, chocolate and cream really you can serve it with most things.A/N
