The two sat down, cooked crab in hand. Kiri talked while they ate, rambling about anything and everything as it crossed his mind. Bakugo stayed quiet, listening to what Kiri was saying, only humming and grunting in response. Kiri continued to talk before pausing.
"Hey, Bakugo?" Kiri asked hesitantly.
"Yeah?" he looked up for the crab in his hand.
"I'm glad you're here." he looked down at his hands before looking back up quickly. "Not that I'm glad we are on this island with no way home, just that you're here, with me," He added quickly, a slight panic on his face. "God I'm stupid, ignore me" he sighed, leaning back.
"You're not stupid," Bakugo said gently. Kirishima looked over at him. "Plus, I get it," he paused for a moment, thinking about how to say what he was thinking. "You're not the worst person to get trapped on a deserted island with." his face flushed pink as his gaze met Kiri's.
"Thanks, man," Kiri smiled gently, his cheeks taking on the same pink hue.
"Plus I don't think I could ignore you if I tried," Bakugo chuckled, tossing aside the empty crab shell. Kiri tossed his empty shell aside too, standing up and stretching.
"I think I'm going to take a walk, wanna join?" Kiri asked, looking over at Bakugo. He thought for a moment before shaking his head.
"No, I think I'll stay here, I'm tired," Bakugo lied, making his way towards the plane. In truth, he did want to go, but being around Kirishima made him feel things he would rather ignore.
"Alright man, I'll be back," Kiri called to him. Bakugo sighed as he heard Kiri walk away. He laid down, cursing himself for not going with. He stared up at the ceiling, thinking about Kiri. He snapped his eyes closed and shook the thought from his head. He laid with his eyes closed for a moment before drifting to sleep.
Bakugo sat up, yawning, and stretching. He made his way back outside, not seeing Kirishima anywhere. He called out his name a few times to no response. He made his way towards the beach, only seeing the footprints from before in the sand. He peered into the dense forest behind him, sighing heavily. He made his way back to the plane, walking in the direction he had seen Kiri walk earlier.
He walked aimlessly around the forest, calling out for Kirishima. The sun had almost completely set at this point and Bakugo was ready to give up and head back to the plane. He made his way his way uphill slightly. The hill had a steep drop where it looked like part of it collapsed. He peered into the trees, looking around for any sign of the redhead.
"Oi! Kirish-" his shouting cut short by the ground giving out below him. He braced himself for impact before feeling himself stop suddenly. He looked up to see Kiri holding onto his wrist, keeping him from falling. Kirishima was holding onto a thick vine, wrapped around a nearby tree. He smiled down at Bakugo, pulling him back onto stable ground.
"Careful where you walk blasty, don't need you falling for me right?" he laughed.
"Yeah, whatever shitty hair," Bakugo looked away, feeling his face heat up.
"Been a while since you called me that," Kiri chuckled.
"Whatever, let's just get back to the plane, it's getting late."
"Awe were you worried about me, blasty?" Kiri teased, catching up to Bakugo who was already walking back.
"Doesn't matter, it's just late," Bakugo put his hands into his pockets, trying to ignore the redhead beside him.
