(sorry no chapter cover, my art skill is
apparently on vacation 😔)As Leo and I drove away, all I could hear was the sound of the car engine running and a crow squawking in the distance. The AC was on max due to the scorching summer morning. Leo peered into the backseat to see me using their pride flag as a blanket.
"You know I can turn down the AC right?" Leo said with a slight smile.
"I'm perfectly fine with the current temperature." I said, making a jokingly angry face. Somehow I could still hear that singular crow squawking almost as if it were following us.
-+*+-"Duck!!!!"
"It's only been 30 minutes and you've called out 10 ducks! 10!! is there really that many?" Leo said while driving."That's the lowest duck count this week! Usually its 1 per minute!" I giggled while looking out the window. "OOO! A TURTLE!!!"
"how close are we? I'm bored" I nagged
"Well, we're close, so hopefully we'll have fun!"We pulled up at the CVS that's close to the pride parade. There were tons of people there, and pride flags galore. Everyone seemed happy and birds were chirping in the nearby trees.
"It looks like it's going to be a great time!" I rejoice as I drag Leo with me towards crowd and our flags blow in the wind.
