Bakugou woke up in his own bed, enjoying the soft sheets for a few minutes longer. He had already been home a week, and every day since, he'd spent his time at the hospital, leaving his house in the morning and retuning in the evening. He stated that he just wasn't used to being without Kirishima's company, which was true. (He still refused to admit it, but he actually considered Kirishima a friend.)
This morning, he rose from his bed, got dressed quickly, and grabbed the leftover meat buns his mom had made for last night's dinner. Without bothering to explain where he was going (he didn't really need to at this point), he walked out the door, holding the meat buns in a small, plastic bag in his left hand.
Thankfully, the hospital was only a twenty minute walk, and surprisingly, Bakugou enjoyed it (somewhat). It was late enough in the morning that the streets weren't terribly crowded, so he was able to walk in peace and quiet for the most part. It was the middle of may, so the cherry blossom trees weren't in bloom, but there were still green trees and other beautiful flowers along the sidewalk, thanks to it being mid-spring. He walked past a patch of pink and orange cyclamen flowers, which he now recognized due to Kirishima.
Bakugou approached the tall, white hospital building and walked in, pulling open the front door roughly. He went up to the front desk, giving a blank look to the woman sitting there.
"Yes?" she said, typing one last sentence into her computer.
"I'm here to see Kirishima Eijirou."
"Okay," she said, pushing up her classes on her nose. "Name?"
"Bakugou Katsuki."
"Welcome back. He's in room—"
"I know."
"Well, go on ahead, then."
He turned and walked to the usual room, giving a quick wave as he passed Nurses Tamaki and Sakura, who were walking together in the hallway.
"Going to see Kirishima?" Sakura said happily.
"Yeah."
"Have fun! I think he really wanted to talk to you about something."
Bakugou nodded in affirmation and continued walking, entering the room without knocking.
"Bakubro!" Kirishima shouted, already standing up from his bed. He started slowly walking over to the blond, keeping his arms frozen at his sides.
"Hi."
"Can we do something today?" he begged. "Pleaseee?"
"Like what, Shitty Hair?"
"I wanna go swimming!"
"I thought you said you couldn't, because of your . . . disease."
"I know," Kirishima said, "but I think I'll be okay if it's just in, like, a normal pool, and not jumping into a river."
"Okay." Bakugou looked up at Kirishima, practically unable to say no to his bright, happy smile. "Fine."
"Thank you!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Do you have a swimsuit?"
"Yep!"
~~~
The two boys ended up at Bakugou's house thirty minutes later. Kirishima was sitting in a chair in the kitchen talking to Mitsuki while Bakugou was digging through one of his drawers in his room, looking for a swimsuit for himself. (Kirishima had one at the hospital and changed there. Why he had one, Bakugou didn't care to ask.)
