Chapter One

Hmm… I smell pancakes.

Maybe it's morning already. What day is it today? I'm not sure if it's Sunday or Monday but I think it's one of those.

It's still summer vacation and I have three weeks before class starts. Yaaaaa— nope, not excited at all. Although it's pretty boring here, I would not trade this home time in exchange of school time. Because school time means I have to wake myself up before 8:30. Because school time means you have to stay there for a couple of hours a day with other people. Because I am a what you probably call "anti-social".

While grabbing my phone from my side table, I heard a knock on my door.

"Ro, are you awake?" it was my brother. "Ada and Simon's here!"

"Yeah," I yawned as I replied to him. "I'm going okay."

I made up my bed first before going the bathroom to brush my teeth because I always forgot to fix it once I got out of my room. I don't really like fixing the bed, you know. I know I am a lazy piece of my parents but it's not like I'm the only person in the universe that doesn't like fixing bed. If you agree with me, please look for the star on your status bar and press it. That meant you totally agree with me. And if you don't, let me tell you that "Liars go to hell" and "the Lord is watching".

Checking the time on my phone, I also learned that today is Monday. I also got messages and notifications on my social media accounts.

You're probably thinking, "Why does she have social media?" "I thought she's an introvert…"

Well, my answer to you folks are… I JUST DO. It doesn't mean that I don't like socializing, I won't have any social media accounts! I check my far away relatives too by using those. Besides, having social media accounts makes one less introvert!

Though I don't really use it. And as you expected, my accounts are private.

When I finally reached the bottom of the stairs, my eyes immediately spotted Ada's green head. I waved my hand at her as my sign of greeting and she returned waving at me. Simon, on the other hand, is already at the dining room sitting with my family.

"Good morning, all," I said and placed two pancakes on my plate. "Pass me the Nutella, please."

There are times that my friends have their breakfast in our house. And that's the time when my brother knocks at my door to wake me up because my friends are here. My parents are fine with it because we sometimes go to either the Harkins or the Daltons for food. It's natural for us to go into each other's houses whenever we wanted. Especially them to my house.

"So, do you have plans for today?" my father asked, his eyes not tearing away from the newspaper.

Today's his day off so he is here during breakfast. This summer, whenever he's on duty, I barely have breakfast with him because he goes to work by seven in the morning and because I am still sleeping around that time.

"We are going to the vet," Ada, who was on my right said. "I'm taking my puppies to get his shots."

So Ada's dog, Google, is a Welsh corgi. The cute little short stuff gave birth to two tiny creatures and we're suppose to take them to the vet clinic today. And another cute thing is, the puppies were named Siri and Alexa.

"And we're going to buy some school stuff after we're done at the vet," said Simon.

"Oh, okay," Dad nodded. "Bring some chips when you get home, Ro, okay?"

"Sure, Dad."

After we ate breakfast, Ada, Simon, and I went upstairs to my house room.

I took clothes from my closet and went inside my bathroom to take a quick shower. I dried my hair and tie it into a ponytail and went in front of my side table to get my contact lenses.
