Anna's POV
He took me by the hands, and we run out of the café without paying for the coffee. We run until I run out of breath. Apparently, he runs well that he did not even look like he was tired at all, instead he was just laughing the whole time. He was crazy and fun, I was, unintentionally falling for him. "That... that was fun!" he remarked being interrupted by giggles.
"What now?" I asked him, taking in all the air I can manage to hold in my lungs.
He took me by the hands and took me to a place called "writer's space". The place was just two rooms that were not so big. On every each walls there were so many different types of papers filled with handwritten wonderful ideas, quotes, letters, poems and even short stories. In both of the rooms there are two shelves that contained notebooks filled with handwritten novels. Together with these notebooks there were also books donated by people that anyone can borrow to read while sitting in the cozy sofas that were in the middle of both rooms. There was also a table in the middle of the sofas and on the table was where anyone can find variety of papers and different colors of ink to write whatever they feel like writing.
"This is such a beautiful space!" I remarked, turning to him as I explored and read some of the notes on the walls.
"I'm glad you like it." he replied back with a very genuine smile on his face. "I brought you here to tell you that you should consider writing about us."
"You want me to write about us? Why?" I asked, trying to sound as normal as possible while in the inside I was having the whole damn zoo just by the thought of him asking me to write about US. He said US!
"Well, I want you to show that a small act of kindness can lead to finding the greatest lover of all time." he said, with a very neutral countenance. That was his way of telling me that he's in love. And that was how we started, Nathan and I, Nathan and Anna.
After a while since we started dating, he introduced me to one of his friends. He was a writer just like me but unlike me he was not fed up with his work, well his work was not the same as mine. He wasn't an employee nor an employer. He published books, he blogs and on his personal website posts some of his poems. We talked for hours on how to let yourself be engulfed in your creativity. I was inspired but I had nowhere to fall back on if I failed at working on my own, which he had. The thought of it bummed me out and Nathan had noticed.
This was when he took me to his house for the first time. He had a huge house with three stories, it almost looked like a palace. He then explained to me what he does for a living. His parents passed away when he was only 18 due to cancer. He then had to take over their big advertisement company and live in this palace. He was ashamed of telling me about it before because he does not feel like he earned any of it.
I was not in love with his wealth, but I was in love with him more. I was in love with his simplicity. Through the times we have been together, almost four months now, he has never acted as though he could buy an island if he wanted to, rather he even run away with me without paying even for a single tea. He does not take pride in what he did not earn and that was my man, Nathan.
After that, I quit my Job and moved in with him as he assured me that he was going to be the safe place that I can fall back on if I couldn't earn enough money to sustain a living. I started writing my own books without fear of failing. I became so much happier than I used to be thanks to him.
As he told me to do so, before, I wrote our book. It is true, a little act of kindness led to the greatest love story, yet a cliché one, but who cares. Maybe I have a fetish for cliché.
I loved how he respected me for what I do and never thought of himself any superior than me. This was just love. A love that did not take any other materialistic and worldly things into account. A pure love that I never thought I would experience in my lifetime. In fact, I did not believe true love existed.
This was not just a true love it was pre-eminent.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you like it so far!
If you didn't believe in true love at some point in your life VOTE. Well, at least, I didn't at some point.
