Alizee Rivera's
Life has never been good without coffee.
I smiled secretly at the thought, I turned my gaze at the glass window where you can see the partial city of La Castellana. This coffee shop is located perfectly at the top of the hill. The golden rays of the sun makes the view of the city more vibrant.
I closed my laptop and put my things inside my backpack. I was about the leave the shop when I received a message from my colleague to meet her at the school's library. I immediately headed and call a tricycle . Actually the school campus is just a few distance from the shop but I prefer to ride since I don't want to make her wait for me, besides it's already 5:00 pm and I need to be at home by 6 sharp. Curfew for a 19 years old college student.
I'm currently attending my second year at Northern Visayas University taking BA Literature.
"Ali girl, we're already done with our first output in English Literature. I asked you to come here so I could give you the soft copy" said Maree my output partner.
"Okay" I responded as I handed my hard drive to her. She immediately inserted the thing and returned to me afterwards.
"Done! So I'll go ahead? Or you wanna come with me? Sabay na tayo lumabas" aya sakin ni Maree.
"No, mauna ka nalang. I have something to find pa." Tanggi ko at agad tinungo ang library section. Maree turned her back and headed to the exit of the library.
I was busy finding for a certain book when someone approached me.
"Miss, we only have 30 mins. said the librarian since the library will close at 6pm" I looked at the guy beside me.
He is wearing our school uniform. Black slocks, white polo and black shoes. His hair was cleaned cut that matches his features. He's a bit taller than me. Before I could go deeper memorizing him, I shook the thought away.
"Ah yeah. Di rin naman ako magtatagal" maikling sagot ko at bumalik sa paghahanap.
"You're Ali right?" He asked while scanning the book he's holding.
"Yah. How'd ya know?" I replied back. I hid the shock in my voice, even in my expressions.
"I just heard someone called you" I turned my gaze on him. Confusion was written in my face and he just flash his peaceful smile.
"And you are?" I nonchalantly asked back as I found the book I was searching.
"Westwind" he replied. Weird. I didn't mind him and proceed to the librarian to borrow the book.
Hindi ko na sya nakita hanggang makalabas ako ng library.
Westwind huh?
