Third Person P.O.V.

Whitney continued crying in her studio, clearly broken down. She didn't want anyone else to see her like this, but unfortunately her daughter, Kimmy, came in.

Whitney sighed and looked at Kimmy, who was obviously wondering what was going on with her mother. "Mum, what's wrong?" Kimmy asked Whitney, clearly upset. She never really saw her mother like this because Whitney always hid her emotions. Whitney turned her back on Kimmy.

"Nothing's wrong." Whitney said blankly as she looked away from her daughter. She didn't want her daughter to see her this weak. Ever since the day Whitney had Kimmy, she swore to be strong for her daughter. No matter what it took.

"It doesn't seem like nothing, Mum. Just tell me." Kimmy said as a frown appeared on her face. She knew her mother didn't like showing her emotions, but the fact that she saw her mother crying made her worried.

"Damn it, Kimmy. It's nothing major, so drop it!" Whitney snapped at Kimmy clearly losing her temper. "Mum for goodness sake, just tell me so I can help you!" Kimmy replied also getting worked up. Whitney had to tell the truth or she'd end up fighting with her daughter.

"If you really wanna know, fine." Whitney said before she sighed. "I was crying because my memories of all the times I've failed the people in my life were coming back to me. I failed as a sister, a lover, and I failed as a mother." She said before crying once more.

Kimmy finally understood her mother's situation and how she felt. "Mum, you didn't fail. Sure you made mistakes, but we all make mistakes from time to time. You just have to get back up and try again. Don't focus on the past and look to the future." She told Whitney as she hugged her mother. Hopefully, it would make Whitney see that she didn't need to hide her problems from her daughter.

Whitney hugged back knowing that her daughter was giving her good advice. "You're right, kid. I'm not gonna let the past get me down." She said as she smiled at Kimmy. "Thank you." Whitney whispered softly. "No need to thank me at all, Mum." Kimmy whispered back. Both mother and daughter were smiling once more.

"Princess, wanna get some ice cream?"

"That sounds great, Mum."
