-3rd Person POV-

Liam decided he would try his recently poor luck once more.

He approached the short blue eyed girl at her locker and cleared his throat to get her attention. She looked up at him silent as if waiting for him to speak.

"Um, you probably already have plans, but, if not, maybe you'd like to..."

"Sure." she said expressionless.

"Oh, ya, thats fi- Wait, Did you just say yes?" Liam stood with his mouth hanging open out of surprise.

"Yup. I'll go do whatever it is you want. Now, close your mouth you're attracting flies." she closed her locker and began walking away.

A huge smile appeared on his face but disappeared as he realized he needed her number to figure out the details.

"Wait!" he reached out and ran forward but tripped and fell on his face. Rayne giggled lightly and placed a small piece of paper with her phone number on it in his hand. He looked up and smiled as she walked away.

After exchanging multiple texts they had their date planned.

*At Rayne's House*

"I look like a pansy."

"You look gorgeous!"

"I look like an idiot."

Rayne stared at her reflexion. she was wearing a simple blue strapless cocktail dress with a bow on the side, a pair of black heels and matching black earrings and necklace.

"Do I really need to dress up like this?" she complained, "I feel like a cupcake. A nasty, ugly store-bought blue cupcake."

"Shut up Ray, you look awesome!"

"Whatever."

*Ding Dong* The doorbell rang throughout the house.

"He's here!" Ali squealed happily, "Come on Ray!"

"Ugh, If i can, I'm gunna break my ankles in these shoes." Rayne called as she debated on wether or not she should attempt to walk down the flight of stares.

"Come in! Come in!" Ali greeted Liam and showed him into her friends house.

"Come on Ray! Your Date is here!" she called up at her struggling friend.

"Ya ya, hold your sauce! Let me just get down the stairs in these fricking shoes!"

"Need help?" Liam asked generously from below.

"No, I'm fine. I can get down by myself." was the reply.

"She's a stubborn one..." Ali whispered to the Brit.

"Shut up Ali!"

The blonde looked up at her friend, who was trying to keep her balance as she descended the stairs. "... And short tempered."

Rayne shot a death glance at Ali as she reached the bottom.

"Wow." he said wide eyed as she came closer.

"What?"

"You just look really, REALLY beautiful."

Rayne blushed but brushed the comment away.

"Ready?" asked Liam holding out his arm to help her keep her balance.

She sighed. "Sure." She refused his arm and staggered behind him to his car.

He helped her in without an argument and shut her door for her. Ali waved giddily as they drove away.

"Soooo, have you ever been to this restaurant?" Liam inquired, desiring to start up a conversation.
