Life is a strange business. It seldom gifts us with unusual things which we can cherish for a lifetime.  Something similar happened to Miya which left her greatly influenced. Her story itself has no end. It swirls around two person who never spoke to each other.

Miya's summer vacation started in the month of May. She was busy preparing for her tenth grade final examination. Her teacher advised her to listen to music for relaxation. Indeed music made the story. Lately it became her habit to go to the terrace in the evenings and listen to music. Unconsciously something attracted her. Much later she noticed a boy on the terrace of the tall building, adjacent to her house. That was the first encounter. The nameless boy seemed to be thirteen or fourteen years old, was skinny, with a cheerful smile and a pair of small black eyes. He was always calm. A couple of times Miya had notice that the boy sneaked and peeped at her. Whether it was scorching summer heat or drizzles, the boy never wasted a minute. He could stare at her for hours as if he saw nothing but her. All these made Miya annoyed in the beginning. Miya tried to hide herself from him. She even thought of complaining to his building owner but she didn't. Maybe behind her annoyance, prevailed her liking, after all everybody likes attention. By the end of June, unknowingly an imperfect and indescribable feeling developed in between them. Now summer evenings seemed shorter while the sunsets and skies appeared more beautiful.

One day Miya went to the terrace but he was not there. She found it strange. After waiting for him almost the entire day, he could not be seen. Few days later Miya came to know, he shifted to somewhere else. She was not disappointed or sad but it was a feeling of regret. She regretted for not saying anything to him, not even a word. Many words were left unborn. Although their encounter was short lived but they had a lot to share. Miya hoped maybe she will be able to share everything with him. Nobody knew about the end except that boy. He tried to share every moment he had left with her. With his departure, he left her wondering about his return.

Almost three years have passed, Miya is now about to be a young adult. She pretty much likes to stay busy. In the course of life many things happened to her — new high school, new subjects, new friends, and new environment. Between all these someone always existed in her mind. Whenever she crossed that building, it reminds her about that one person. She kept it hidden. She feared that the uncertain end might leave the listeners anticipated and her clueless. Somewhere she still regretted. Even though the end was certainly uncertain but the moments they shared were very certain. A part of their feelings were shared by eye contacts and smiles. It just needed a meeting of words for confirmation.

The world is said to be round so that one cannot see the end of the road. Indeed it's true. Often we suppress something inside us which might never get a second chance to rise up. If Miya would have shared what she wanted then they might had a destiny. At least she would not feel regretted. We should always give a chance to what our hearts wants to speak, no matter what turn it takes in life.
Miya's story made me realised, in life we meet strangers for a while to be happy in present, to forget past and to move on being inspired in the future. The boy left enthusiasm in Miya. Miya's view for life changed to a great extent. It led to the rise of something new in her — a new hope. Miya would now never stop herself from speaking her heart out. Miya's encounter with him made her realise her summer's desire.
