The person no one expected

The start of it all

There she was 3rd grade caity.. She was bored so she was in the spare room watching some tv. Austin her uncle comes in but they are more like brother and sister considering they live together and they are only 4 years apart. He says wanna play truth or dare? Caity said yes. This is where everything changed forever.. Truth or dare? Dare he says take off your clothes.. But that is wrong she says.. It's fine he says I'll be nice to you if you do.. Caity didn't know what to feel what to think.. She just wanted love with a mom who works all the time dad never being in the picture and her grandmother being a full time drunk she was all alone.. She takes off her clothes.. He touches her and it hurts and she tells him but he says it's fine and not to be a baby.. She took a hot bath that night and cried... He wasn't nice not even slightly that day.. She felt angry.. And scared.. For days she try's to avoid him.. Still burning when she pees scared it will get worse if she plays again.. Her mom is completely clueless.. She goes to bed hoping she will feel more herself in the morning.. But no in the middle of the night Austin is screaming and punching things because he wasn't able to do what he wanted to do his mom said no.. Caity walks out there and starts crying as she sees him screaming and yelling calling her mom names.. But this isn't out of the norm it happens at least once a month.. One reason she wasn't ever going to tell.. She was scared scared that her mom wouldn't believe her scared he would get angry scared nothing would change anyway.. Austin is left to babysit.. He makes caity take a shower he tried to slip it in but she Crys and says no.. She runs.. Goes to bed and everything is norm in the morning.. Today they have off it's a holiday.. It's just them home again and he will get what he wanted last night he grabs her tells her to stop being such a baby and sits her on top of him she says I wanna be normal I wanna be a kid let me be a kid please this isn't what I want.. He says to quit and to sit on it.. She doesn't he picks her up and puts her on it or try's her legs are flexing trying to keep her up off of it he shoves her down.. She begins crying and crying and he just says don't tell your mom.. And leaves.. For days she is sick to her stomach.. And she thinks she is pregnant being so young not being able to get a test or know anything about pregnancy she tries to ignore it.. But it haunts her before she goes to sleep at night.. That and she thinks she is going to hell.. Austin abuses her over and over again for the next 4 years.. And she stops caring.. But when she hit puberty it all stopped the game stopped she was happy.. But she wasn't like her friends and she felt like no one knew how she felt.. Because no one.. Even the few people she did tell her closest friends they didn't understand.. She began to have out bursts of anger throwing things crying screaming.. And her mom begged her to tell her what has been going on and what happened because her mom knew she just knew.. For about an hour of crying and begging she gives up she let's her secret spill.. It felt great at first but then her mom said she had to go live somewhere else and that she didn't need this so she sent her to live with her best friend who lives 16 hours away.. Great right she gets to live with her best friend? No absolutely no.. She was in a time of grief and pain and didn't know how to act.. She lost heather her best friend.. Because she was crazy confused. She can't do this anymore she wants her mom she wants her other friends she wants her grandma... She calls her mom and tells her to come get her. Her mom does.. Her mom gets a call from her grandma saying she loves them and that she can have the figurine giraffes caity has wanted since the age of 4. Caity's mom didn't think much of it.. They get back late at night and decide to go to bed they now live in a new house with just the two of them.. Her mom barges in and wakes her up at 6:00am she is crying and screaming hysterically.. Her mom tells her her grandma is dead.. And that Austin found her she said in her letter that all she ever wanted was a family and she loved them.. Austin still doesn't know she told because he is fragile and they think his dad molested him so their family makes it okay and sweaps it under the rug.. Caity lost her grandma because she couldn't keep her mouth shut.. And in the end it did nothing for her to tell.. No relief at all.. It made it worse.. She falls into depression misses months of school and becomes a pot head.. Her mom and her live in a different state with her moms new boyfriend and it's almost like she never lived before she got there the past is all behind her and she is a new person.. Not everything is perfect.. But then again there is no such thing as perfect..
