Chapter 3.1

 -Yukihiro-

 “Yukihiro-san?”

“Hmm?” I felt like, I’ve heard that voice before. I turned around to find a short, brunette man with a pair of brown eyes which I last saw 5 years ago.

I wasn’t sure what to feel.

I wasn’t sure what to do.

But, I was sure, that was Hyde. This is all so sudden I didn’t even know how to react. From the moment he called my name, I already felt like I heard a ghost, and when I saw him, I instantly froze.

“Thank you Yukihiro-san. I was looking for my wallet. Thank you too, err…?”

“Tetsuya. You can just call me Tetsu for short.” Tetsuya answered.

“Thank you too Tetsu. Well I have to go now. Thank you again.”

“S-see you!” Tetsuya said with a wave.

My chest tightened. I wasn’t sure what emotion I was feeling. Happiness? Sadness? I wasn’t even sure what face I was making. The brunette walked away, towards the door, and I began to doubt. What if I was just imagining things? Maybe, this isn’t Hyde? But when the brunette stopped in his tracks, he gave me the answer to my question;

“By the way, my name is Hyde. Nice meeting you all. See you around!”

And after he spoke those words, my grip on the cup loosened and it shattered into pieces as it hit the floor, just like how my heart shattered back then.

This time, I carefully looked left and right as I crossed the streets, wouldn’t want to actually get hit by a car. And now that I think of it…that guy back in the coffee shop, Yukihiro was his name, I think? Wasn’t he the guy I came across?

Yeah, I nearly got into an accident. It wasn’t his fault. I just carelessly crossed without noticing my surroundings. It’s odd though…I don’t know the guy but, I feel like I’ve seen him before. Well I do know I once lived in this town so maybe he’s an acquaintance? Or maybe my memories really are just messing with me once again.
