13-A, St Paul Road, Bandra west.....a lavish two-storeyed bungalow, not a common sight in a city like Mumbai. An intricate iron gate, entrering through which one could see two ambassadors parked on the left and a pathway on the right leading to the main door through the beautiful landscaped area.

Mr. Sahay's house was equally mesmerizing from inside with an old-fashioned rock crystal chandelier and a grand circular staircase in the lobby that led to the upper floor having eight rooms. Among these eight rooms, the second room to the right was Mr. and Mrs. Sahay's bedroom.

Mr. Arash Sahay was a decorated and retired high court judge who had lost his beloved first wife and a daughter in an accident three years ago. Grey haired, broad shouldered and rigid faced; he was a man of discipline. Although in her late fourties, Mrs. Sarah Sahay had a radiant face and a lively personality. She was married to Mr. Sahay since just two weeks. Though it was his second marriage, they both had a happy life together.
