My brows furrowed as I sensed feet following mine. Is their a question about it? I don't know and neither do I want to. l don't care what the world is going through...I don't; what's the point. Anybody who looks at me or watches me for quite some time, thinks me to be of most at hand. That's undeniable too because everything I attempt to do ends up making such a situation that makes them say, "I didn't know what I'd have done if I hadn't had your company." But why is it bothering me, why right now? I don't have time for these thoughts. Little do they pity me.
Finding a moment to come back to reality, I was convinced that I was being followed. Did it not frighten me? Of course, it did! Did I show it? No, I am not a fool to do that. I decide to steady my steps and run to the unknown. Why unknown? Because it's too dark to make the place seem familiar to me. I eventually hit someone. My hands touch a hard torso and I know it's a man. His feet approach the men. A sound, loud enough to break my eardrums, is heard before everything goes dead silent. I feet the steps coming closer to me, it's different from the ones before. The steps define a single person.
"I found you." His breath touches my lips as he brushes those words out. Light flashed upon my back just to help me identify the voice I had already deciphered. "Finally! Here I am...." The illuminating light made his face a shadow to me, decreasing with his steps moving toward my back. I turned around to see somebody...somebody I would never want to be in front of.
"Hey.....Tear! You've succeeded in moving out of my way, but you won't be able to run out of my life. When I said I needed you, I meant it." Saying, he comes closer, I push him back with great force, drifting him down to the ground. I run, as fast as my legs can afford to. I might be unsure of the right place to stop in, but at this point, I guess the best thing to do is to go away from him. Anywhere, but near him !
For about ten minutes I keep on running to the unknown when I finally stop and that's because my knees have grown an enormous pain. I sit on the nearest bench in the park ( There's a street light in the middle which makes it easier for anybody to identify.)I can relax now. A deep sigh let out of me. His words continue echoing in my ears. My fingers brush my right cheek - Maybe I needed it for all of my mistakes. It is when I find somebody to my left, followed by a shallow voice, "Are you alright Teerin?" The way she took my name, had made me sure that she was my classmate, Shailey.
"You look pale, what is it ?"
I tell her, "I was called for an interview and on my way back I noticed some people following me. I thought, I was overthinking, but then I came to know I was right, when I suddenly met ........"
"Met?"
"Met him, Fris!"
"What!"
"Exactly! He is here."
"Are you sure about this? Because..."
"Yes! What did I think, he was going to be there forever? NO! He came back, and he found me. Everything, everything is going to be back to square one now. I can't let that happen!"
"Would you like to speak about it?"
"I guess I am too tired to do so. I need to go home else Mum might be thinking kinds of stuff about me."
"You can accompany me in my car. I feel that's a good idea for both of us, especially for you. You know, the night is too dark for you today. Come fast!" I could have said a 'no' to the proposal, but the pain in my knees prevented me from doing so. I think it better to listen to my friend's words and follow her steps."Yes, I'm right behind you." I waited for the car to stop and got down to see the most comfortable place - 'MY HOME SWEET HOME.'
