Just then I saw the train moving. Panicking I ran after it hoping to catch it before it leaves.
But no matter how fast I was I couldn't....
Heart clenching and tears streaming down my face. I was hopeless now... if only I was brave enough to confess earlier.
???: I've been waiting for 10 minutes already you know??
Author PoV: Jai looked behind him and saw the person he was afraid to let go...who he thought he had already lost.
He ran towards her and hugged her tight.
Nandini couldn't help but shed some tears also.
After a few minutes of long hug they finally pulled apart.
Jai: I thought you had left already.
Flashback
Nandini was sad that she couldn't meet jai one last time before leaving but she thought it was better that way. After she reached the platform she got a call.
Nandini:hello?
Saachi: hi...Nandini it's me saachi.
Nandini: oh- hi..why'd you call me?
Saachi: please give jai one more chance...
Nandini: huh what do you mean?
Saachi: jai is in love with you...not me...that day was a misunderstanding.
Nandini: but- what i-
Saachi: please! Nandini just wait..
Nandini: ok...
Present time:
Nandini: so...tell me what you want to..
Jai took a long breathe and finally spoke.
Jai: well...Nandini...I..I don't know how and when...but it kinda just happened. Maybe since the first time I met you...but I couldn't recognise my feelings towards you..it just felt weird whenever you were near me. When you ignored me I felt hurt.
Nandini: are you sure about your feelings what if it's just attraction.
Jai: I'm pretty sure attraction doesn't make you feel like In love it makes me want to protect you at any cost. I know what my heart wants. And it's you.
Nandini: do you really love me?
Jai: more than you can ever imagine.
Nandini: but why? I can't cook.
Jai: I'll cook for you
Nandini: I can't do any house chores
Jai: me and other will do it.
Nandini: I don't know how to take care of kids.
Jai: my mom will teach you.
Nandni: Saachi is way better than me
Jai: yes but she isn't you.
Nandini looked down to the floor and her voice became small.
Nandini: what if I couldn't be a good wife or anything to you...
Jai picked Nandini's chin up and looked into her eyes. Lovingly as if all her answers were already in his beautiful eyes.
Jai: all I want is you, not a maid to do house work. I'll make you happy no matter what.
Nandini felt so happy listening to those words.
Jai: will you be my girlfriend?
Nandini nodded her head rapidly as tears of joy started falling from her eyes.
Nandini: I love you!
Jai: I love you too!
Jai pulled Nandini closer by her waist and slowly leaned forwards cupping her face.Nandini closed her eyes and went with the moment.
The moment their soft lips touched each other a new feeling took over the place.
Love and passion.
After a good 1 minutes of kiss they pulled apart and got shy.
It was both of theirs first kiss.
Jai: and I also want to give you this..
He took out the kangan Nandini was looking at last time.
Nandini: how did you know?
Jai: you were looking at these so I thought to buy this for you as an apology...
Nandini: how do you manage to make me fall in love with you even more?
She put her head on his chest and her arms wrapped around his waist.
Jai: don't know maybe cause I'm irresistible.
He pulled her closer to his embrace and enjoyed the moment.
Both of them closing their eyes and not caring about anyone or anything around them.
Saachi was crying her eyes out. She knew this day would be coming soon. Jai could never be hers.
???: it's not nice when a pretty girl cries you know.
She looked up and saw the guy who saved Nandini from falling. He was indeed very handsome.
Saachi: let me cry in peace
Jimin: I know it hurts. My first love also left me for another man but here I am all happy and cheerful. I know that crying and making my head ache won't bring her back so instead I moved on.
Saachi: really?
Jimin: yes of course I thought that I'll get someone ever better in future who I can call mine.
She stopped crying after hearing his words.
Saachi: I'm saachi.
Jimin: and I'm jimin.
