{Sure, she has become paranoid, but good comes out of it! 1: Constance is safe. 2: Merricat's self-defense has gotten a lot better. 3: She feels the power and the want, to do the same thing to Jim Donnell. The same feeling of their father became a thought in her mind. She feels she can do it. And soon she will do it. Let's just hope that her convincing mechanisms are as useful as her self-defence mechanisms.}
Jim POV
Step 1. Done. Get into the Blackwood house.
Step 2. Done. Get passed Merricat.
Step 3. Done. Get as close as possible to Constance.
Step 4. In progress. Tell the story of what happened to Beatrice.
The plan? One word: StellaBut what happened today, I will never be back at that house of evil. Merricat scares the hell out of me! They are both evil! They should burn just as I said they should!
Merricat POV
Jim is as disgusting, and revolting as father said. This act that he performed, is below what a sadist would do. I need to look closer at this object I pulled from his pocket. But I can't leave Constance and Beatrice alone with Jim.
I look to my left to see fathers old shotgun. He hasn't used it since 1934 when his father and him went hunting. With trying to be discreet as possible, I silently walk to the gun. It is loaded from what I can tell. There were bullets next to it thank god! Cocking the gun definitely got Jim's attention. He turned around and standing up quickly.
"Jim, you need to leave. Now."
"Calm down Meerkat. I'm only here to talk."
"You have hurt our family for too long now. Go before I shoot!"He looked to Constance and said "She won't actually pull the trigger. Right?"
Constance didn't say a word. She stared at me and gave me a small nod. I aimed the gun at his foot and shot.
"DAMN IT! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?" I quickly threw down the gun and ran towards him. I pushed him to the ground and got on top of him. "GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE JIM! I WILL KILL YOU!" I gave him a punch to the head and got off of him. He scrambled to the door and before he left he yelled "YOU ARE ALL MONSTERS! YOU DESERVE TO BURN!"I was satisfied to hear his whimpers and cries as he walked back down the hill to tell the town of what happened. I looked back to Constance who was tending to Beatrice, making sure she was ok. Luckily, Beatrice woke up after all the commotion. And she is awake! So I know she wasn't poisoned. Now it is my duty to look at what she was drugged with. I took the bottle of whatever he used, and took it to the kitchen table. I grabbed a bowl, went outside and caught a cricket, a syringe of Uncle Jullian's, and the mystery substance in the bottle. With the plants that Constance had taught me about, the flower Aconitum can give you the feeling of drowsiness and if you swallow the sap, it can knock you unconscious for a while. I believe this is what happened to Beatrice.
I put the cricket in the bowl, and put a plate on top of it. I ran down to the storage room, and was able to find that Constance had already had Aconitum in a jar, ready to use when ever needed. Taking the jar with the gloves I put on, I brought the plant upstairs. I poured water into a separate bowl, and put the deadly flower resting in the water. I waited for it to turn into its liquid state, and then poured it into a small cup. It was ready to test on the cricket. I soaked the cloth with the liquid and got picked up the cricket. I held the cricket in my left hand, holding its back folds. I pried its mouth and put a few drops of the chemical water in. 7 seconds went by, and the cricket went limp. It was still breathing, but it was unconscious. It was a fascinating experiment.
With that conclusion, I looked at the bottle of what it was in. It had the same scent, the same affect, (I did it again with the actual substance later on and it worked!) I later walked into the living room. Constance looked over to me and said "She won't talk. Merricat. She won't talk." She started to tear up a little bit. I walked over and kneeled next to Beatrice. I gently grabbed her hand and softly said "He's gone. He won't hurt you ever again. I promise you that. Ok?" She nodded and did a small motion in her hand. It was the motion of a writing utensil. I nodded and quickly ran up to try room to grab a small note pad. I came back downstairs, and handed it to her. She shakily wrote down. 'I can not speak. I am too frighted." I understood her pain. Jim did some damage. He had the audacity to come into our house. He is going to pay weather it be by dead, pain, or lonesome. He will suffer.
Beatrice POV
I woke up to the sudden shot of a gun. It didn't scare me, but it got me out of my unconscious state. I was happy to see Constance above me when I woke up. She gave me a slight smile and said "It's going to be ok. I promise ok?" I nodded and gave a small smile to her as well. I looked around to see where I was. I needed to ground myself.
I am sitting safe and sound on the couch holding Constances hand.
Jim is gone no longer in the house.
Merricat is finding out what happened to me, and what I was given.
I am now fully aware that I am not able to talk. Not because of hurt vocal chords, but of being so frighted I have refused to communicate with my voice. "Beatrice, can I ask what happened?" I tried to speak but I couldn't. The exhaustion of running, the tangy substance going down my throat, the fear when Jim touched me, had a bad outcome for my mental health. I grabbed a hold of my throat and shook my head. Tears brimmed to my eyes as I latched onto Constance. I wrapped my arms around her. The only sound coming from my mouth were small whimpers and cries. Other than that, no words had come out of my mouth for quite some time.
