"Evelyn! Come to my office this instant!" Miss. Castro barked at Evelyn loud enough to wake up everyone in the orphanage.

Miss. Castro was the head of the orphanage. Even the sound of her name made Evelyn tremble. No one in the orphanage was fond of her, except for Brit that is.

"Oh, no! What could I have possibly done this time?" Evelyn mumbled. "Coming Miss. Castro!" Evelyn yelled in reply. No longer caring about sounding annoyed.

Evelyn headed down the stairs. She used to do this in a rushed fashion, but it had now become a routine she repeated daily, and it grew old quickly.

        "Yes Miss. Castro?" Evelyn asked.

"I would like an explanation for the mess in the front room!" Miss. Castro snarled.

"Brit went outside in the rain this morning. When she came inside she didn't wipe off her rain boots." Evelyn explained.

"Why in the world would Miss. Brewster go outside in the rain, Evelyn?" Miss. Castro rudely questioned.

"Why in the world does "Miss. Brewster" do a lot of things?" Evelyn snapped.

"Evelyn, you can not expect me to believe that Miss. Brewster made all this mess!" Miss. Castro said.

"But Miss. Castro!" Evelyn said in an annoyed manor. "I saw her make this mess with my own pair of eyes!"

"Evelyn Rosemary Marks!" Miss. Castro raised her voice. "I have had enough of your arrogant sass, and pathetic lies! Now hurry along and clean up your mess!"

"Yes Miss. Castro," Evelyn stated. Realizing that there was no point in arguing. She had tried that before and that only got her into more chores, and frustration.

'Miss. Brewster, Miss. Brewster, Miss. Brewster!' Evelyn mocked in her head. 'Why in the world would that ole' brat Brit have the respect of being called Miss. I wouldn't get any respect around here, even if it was a gift and i bought it for myself.' She quickly put an end to her all-to-true mind games because they only made her frustration grow.

However, there was a good side to Brit, she was the best target for amusing pranks. And even though all Evelyn's pranks were playful and harmless, they always made Brit furious. In fact, so furious that often times it would push her to the brink of tears. (Evelyn liked to refer to her as a pathetic, girly, sad, little wimp) Therefore, causing Evelyn to do all the chores of the house. So to avoid exhaustion, and possibly worse punishment, Evelyn's pranks were few and far between. But since she could not perform them often she had more time to plan out, and prepare for each one resulting in the best hobby anyone could ask for.

*Knocks on a door* "Miss. Castro?" Evelyn called standing outside the office door. She was wearing gloves that came up to her elbows, and an apron that fell to her feet. She was lugging abound a heavy bucket filled with water, and dragging a mop behind her.

When Miss. Castro finally managed to get around to opening to the door. Evelyn wished, as always, that the door had remained closed.

"What do you want now?" Miss. Castro said with a frown plastered all over her face. It was as if she was sickened by the sight of Evelyn. But the feeling was mutual.

"I just wanted to tell you that I have finished cleaning the front room. Can I go get cleaned up myself now?" Evelyn asked in her sweetest voice possible desperate for freedom.

"What makes you think your done?" Miss. Castro said roughly. "You need to ring out the mop, dry out the bucket, hang up you apron, and put away the gloves. But while your at it go on and wax the floor too. When you have finished these things you may be done for now."

"But-" Evelyn started but then was interrupted by the demanding look on Miss. Castro's face. "Okay Miss. Castro"

"Oh and Evelyn," Miss. Castro said. Evelyn turned around with a look upon her face as if she was asking 'What more could you possibly want?'

"Make sure you do it with a smile upon your face. You are bring everyone's mood down in here."

Evelyn flashed a sarcastic smirk at Miss. Castro then said, "Oh heavens! By all means, I would never want to do that!" Then Evelyn continued onto the work that awaited her.

After hours more of work she was finally done. She was beginning to believe that she would never finish. It was almost to good to be true! She sat down on the arm of a couch just to rest to a minute. Trying to build up the energy to get up the stairs and to her room. As soon as she was going to get up, Brit came bouncing down the stairs, headed for the kitchen. Evelyn figured she would wait a little longer before she headed upstairs. Just to make sure that Brit didn't follow her.

As she sat on the couch she could hear everything that Brit was doing. First, she heard the fizz of a soda as it opened. She heard Brit Get a cup out, put ice in it and set it on the counter. Then, she could hear the common sound of the drink being poured over the ice. But all of a sudden, she heard the drink spill on the floor. The ice fall out of the cup. Then the glass roll off the counter and break. After that, she heard Brit call out to Miss. Castro. "Miss. Castro! Evelyn spilled her drink, and broke a glass!"

"Evelyn! Clean it up right now! Every last bit of it!"

Evelyn fell back on the couch, exhausted. 'I should have known it was, in fact to good to be true.' she told herself.
