Chapter 2: Bologna

Y/n POV

I giggled as I watched the one of my favorite animes. I noticed a particular scene and grinned, "I want to do that!"

A ride to the store and back home later~

"No one can oppose me and my manly mustache!" I playfully took out my toy lightsaber and waved it around threateningly. I laughed as I saw my reflection on the window of the fake mustache above my lip.

I was home alone because the other girls had missions to take care of. My mission is tomorrow so I had the house to myself.

"Grrr," I copied the exact dialogue from the anime, "I am the manliest!"

I twirled the lightsaber in my hands and threateningly placed it against my stuffed bear's neck, which was located on my bed.

"Bow down to my facial hair," I glared at bear.

To my delight, my stuffed bear actually bowed down. Whether it was from the ac blowing down at it or pure luck, I was happy.

"Respect the mustache!" I smirked in victory and smoothed out the fake mustache on my face.

I heard laughter come from behind me and whipped around, seeing Jihyo on the floor crying in laughter.

I quickly ripped off the mustache and threw it who knows where, "J-Jihyo. How long have you been standing there?"

She continued to laugh and wiped away some tears as she stood up, "Long enough. This is what you do when you have the house to yourself?"

"...Pretty much," I shrugged as my face was burning red from embarrassment.

"You're too adorable," She chuckled.

"You're home pretty early," I muttered, looking away bashfully.

"Yeah. My mission was to help free some workers in a mine, under the earth. It was easy because earth is my specialty," She replied.

"How'd that happen? Was it a cave in?" I frowned and sat down on my bed.

"Kind of but there were demons who caused it to happen. The miners were just doing their job and apparently some demons showed up and tried to kill them," Jihyo sighed and sat down next to me.

"I'm surprised that we were able to get these jobs easily," I muttered.

"What do you mean?" Jihyo raised her eyebrow at me.

"We just graduated high school and we've already gotten jobs that we all want," I clarified.

"JYP-nim was the one who recommended the ten of us to the best companies dealing with demons. It was pure luck that the ten of us applied to the same company and were immediately accepted," Jihyo shrugged.

"Don't you think that it was more than luck?" I locked eyes with her, "The Lived Company is one of the hardest to get into."

The Lived Company is the best company dealing with demons and those affected by demons. They are rated the best out of 350 other companies. The chances of getting into this company are very slim.

The founder is Shawn Lee. He is one of the best demon slayers in the world.

While in this company, you are allowed to go on missions of your choice with anyone else within the company. There are times when the higher members will ask for certain people's help because of their power.

The payments aren't that had either. The average money you would receive is $12,500 monthly. Per person. It usually just depends on what missions you choose to accept.
