4). the signs

Plan sighed.  He was confused.  About the incident, whether he should tell his mother or not.

If he said, he was very worried that his mother would be very surprised and that would add to the burden of his mind.  If not, he is also worried about the consequences.

He decided to return to Chiang Mai, asking his grandmother and grandfather.  Fortunately there is a good reason.  Incidentally, his grandmother's birthday is soon, so he used that excuse to take time off and return to Chiang Mai.

"Eh?"  Saint stared in surprise.

Mean stops eating when Plan name is mentioned.

"Where he's going?"  asked Saint.

"Back to his hometown. There is business. He said his grandmother's birthday," answered Ploy.

Saint nodded.

Mean silence.

His memory plays back memories of the night under the moon.

Then he smiled.

"Phi Mean what happen with you, today you very quiet, not like usual?"  Ploy's comment.

"Noisy, Ploy, just eat!"  Mean snapping.

"Mean!"  said his mother.

"He started it."

"Mean you are the older brother!"  said his mother.

Mean silent but he closed his eyes.

Everyone laughed.

"Plan, has something happened?"

Grandmother and grandfather stared deeply.

Plan paused for a moment while looking down.  He was a little hesitant and ashamed to tell a story.

"Plan, whatever happens, just tell me. You can't go home without a reason."  Plan's grandmother held Plan's hand tightly.

Plan's eyes glaze over.

He took a deep breath.

Then, he began his story interspersed with sobs and tears.  But, finally he succeeded in completing the story.

Grandmother and grandfather looked at each other then they nodded their heads.

"Plan, actually, the monk has also predicted this, at your 22nd age, you will experience something big, and this will affect your destiny."

His grandmother explained.

"Before, grandma never told me this," Plan said in surprise.

"The monk said this was a good thing," explained his grandmother.

"So you don't think you have to say," he continued.

"Hah?"  As I recall raping is a crime and raping is a sad thing, which is the good part, "Plan said.

His tone was a little annoyed.

Plan nodded.

The Rathavit family has a surprising secret.  His great grandfather had made a big mistake;  accidentally killed the son of the leader of the Inner Tribe in Chiang Mai.  This caused division and war.

His great-grandfather won the battle, but before he died the tribal chief In Chiang Mai carried out the ritual oath of fellowship with the god of darkness and cursed all the descendants of the Rathavit women would have lived only for 17 years and then died pathetically.

The age of 17 is the same as the age of In Chiang Mai tribal daughter who was killed accidentally by her great grandfather

The oath really happened.

Every time a mother gives birth to a daughter of Rathavit female descent, they never live long.  He was seventeen years old and then died in a pathetic way: murdered, raped to death, eaten by crocodiles, and even eaten by mountain tigers.

Plan's sister experienced the same thing.  Fortunately his sister died of a strange disease, not an extreme cause as mentioned above.

When giving birth to Plannie, her mother had given up hope (Plan born as a girl).  She could not see Plan dead so at that time she would kill her by drowning her in the river but then a monk stopped him.

Mrs. Rathavit told me everything.  The monk then brought Plan and started to help Plan's family.

Since childhood, Plan should not dress like a woman.  His hair is always cut short.

All toys are boys' toys.  No one can smell a woman.  Then at the age of 14 years Plan was operated on.  He changed sex so no one knew that Plan was a woman.

To get away from the curse, Plan must perform a ritual, which is to bathe with rose petals and lotus in the middle of the night on a predetermined day according to the monk's calculations under the waterfall.

This must be done until he is 25 years old.  The rest, if he found someone he loved and loved him sincerely, then he would survive, but if not, he would have to do another ritual.  This one the monk hasn't told because he hasn't reached that age yet.

Plan smiled as she nodded.

"I will do it."

Plan left his grandfather's house and arrived in Bangkok in the evening.
