I looked skeptically at the small child Hol Horse was holding. "Hol Horse, I demand to know what the hell this is" .
"Well Lord DIO, I think it's a child,".
"I know it's a child dammit," I said a little irritated, "but what is it doing here on my property?!" Looking down at the child he was wearing a ragged clothes. He had black hair, and he seemed to be about three to four years old. Even with him being so young, his eyes looked dead. Emotionless. Like he came from a family that didn't love him.
A shame, I thought. I know how that whole experience is, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. Except for the Joestar of course, trying to ruin all of my plans.
I looked over at Hol Horse expectantly, "Well? I'm waiting for an explanation?"
Hop Horse lit up, "Oh right! Well, I was guarding the perimeter of your mansion like you told me to, and a woman came by claiming it was your's," he continued, "She said she was getting married and didn't have time to take care of a brat".
"What makes you think that I, DIO, have enough time to be taking care of a child?"
Hop Horse looked at me. "I didn't say nothin' that you were gonna take care of him. Maybe I wanted to! The Joestars don't seem to be coming any time soon, so I'll watch over him," He picked the child up much to his dismay, "I mean look at him! He's adorable!".
I didn't feel like arguing or fighting with Hol Horse at the moment, so all I did was sigh. "Fine," I said, "as long as the child doesn't interrupt me, or distract you enough that you can't do your job properly".
"YES! Thank you, Lord DIO! I just felt so bad for the kid I don't think I have the heart to just leave him alone," Hol Horse continued, "Apparently the child's name is Haruno".
The child, Haruno, who was still in Hol Horse's arms looked at me. He nodded at me and gave a weak little smile. 'Shit, that's cute' I thought to myself. As empty as he looked, I guess he was still a child.
"Well Lord DIO, I guess that's that." Hol Horse smiled at me, "Thank you again, sir. It really means a lot to me that you allowed me to help him,". After that, Hol Horse nodded and wandered off to his bedroom in my mansion.
I walked over to my room to read a book. It was still light outside so I wasn't able to leave. 'What the hell am I doing?' I thought. 'I guess I'll just have this play out' and then I continued my book.
Chapter 1: End.

If anyone actually reads this other than my friend, feel free to critique me on my writing 'cause I don't really what I'm doing. Also if you have suggestions I'll try to take them.
