Most people already have an age in mind when they think of an OC. But in this case, I'll be giving you advice and suggestions.

A lot of people have been using teenagers as their main character. Although a teenager can give great story material, there are other routes to go. Adults also hold great storylines and backstories. Older people can also work as well. Older people tend to have a long and interesting story. Here's a suggestion for a story!

An older person is telling a story about when they were younger. (The story should be dramatic, traumatic, exciting, sad, or frustrating to reel in more readers.) Just a thought.

Here are some age ranges if you're still not sure of what to do:

5-12 Child (Recommended for children's books or younger audiences)

13-17 Teenager (Recommended for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students)

18-25 Young Adult (Recommended for adult and/or mature audiences)

26-38 Adult (Adult+ Same recommendation as Young Adult)

39-55 Older Adult

56-73 Senior

74-120 Older Senior

121+ Magical or Fantasy Being (Recommended for any audience)

For the character I am going to be creating with you, the age will be 16.
