So glad you could make it
Today marks 20 years since my family abandoned our home planet, Vegeta. I was too young to make any decisions for myself, but my parents hated the rule that it was under. I don't remember much besides having to be quiet as we were leaving, which absolutely terrified my younger self. I've been on my own for about 10 years now as my parents disappeared without a trace. Since then, I've been doing a lot of mercenary work, basically taking down bad guys with the hope of possibly finding my parents one day. There is only one that I will not dare to challenge, and I have a strong feeling that that's where my parents are.
I was looking for a planet called Yardrat in search of the man who was able to defeat the man that I won't take on, mainly because I knew they both survived and I need the hero's help. Last time I checked, I had about two more days of travel before I made it to Yardrat. The boredom was absolutely killing me, but I knew that it would all be worth it if this mystery man could help lead me to my family.
"Now arriving... Earth," my pod told me. I felt a small wave of panic come over me, this was not where I needed to be. I sat up and tried to find a way to reroute my pod, but before I could do anything, I flew face first into the door. I was on Earth and there wasn't much I could do about it, I couldn't even get out of the pod since it landed with the door in the ground.
I tried to think of a way to get out of the pod, but before I could, a hole was blasted into the back of it. Good thing I wasn't there anymore. I looked through the hole to see a short man with black hair, a bald man with three eyes, a younger guy with purple hair, a child with black hair, and a green guy. The short man said "Who are you and why are you here?"
He had thought that I had come to attack them. "Well, I'm (y/n) and I'm not supposed to be here, I'm supposed to be on a planet called Yardrat, but since you were so kind as to blow a hole into my pod, I guess I'm stuck here," I said, climbing out of the ship. The short man looked at my hips with a startled expression. I gave him a disgusted look, "Can I help you?"
"Where did you come from?" he said.
"Where did I come from?" I asked, even more confused now.
"You have a tail, where are you from?" he asked.
I touched my tail that had been wrapped around my waist. It had been such a long time since anyone had drawn attention to it that I didn't even think about it. "Oh, I came from Planet Vegeta," I said, drawing attention from the whole group.
"How are you even alive? You're working with Frieza aren't you? That's why you're here!" the short man snapped.
"Actually, that's exactly who I've been trying to find for quite a bit now! You see my parents and I had been living away from our home planet for a long time and I think Frieza has them! I was trying to follow the man who beat him on Namek but ended up here instead of Yardrat!" I said, hopefully doing a better job of explaining why I was here.
The short man had an expression on his face that told me that I had just touched a nerve. "Oh, you can join us then! That's who we're waiting on! He should be here soon!" the child said.
"Is he coming here?" I asked. Maybe I ended up in the right place after all.
"Yeah, he is coming back here soon! This is where he's from!" the child said, sounding more excited.
"No, he's not from here, he just lives here!" the short man said. He's quite the angry guy...
"We get it, Vegeta," the green man said. I felt my face go pale. What did he say his name was?
"You're the prince," I muttered.
Vegeta smirked at me, for once, he didn't look like he was going to murder someone. "That's right, I am the prince of all Saiyans."
"Wait, where's your tail?" I asked.
His expression immediately changed to an annoyed one. "I really don't want to talk about it," he grumbled.
