The rest of the week pasted really slow. Tomorrow was moving day. I was debating if I should text Luke or Brittany to see if they wanted to hangout. Luke and I talked on the phone for an hour and a half before he asked me if I wanted to meet him somewhere. Luke was a smart guy, he had dirty blonde hair that he usually wore messy, and blue-green eyes, he wore glasses. But, he was also known to be a player. We decided to meet at the park between our houses, in half an hour.
Once we hung up I hopped in the shower. When I got out I dried off and wrapped my towel around me, brushed my teeth, did my make up and put my hair in a French braid. I walked to my room, and decided to wear my Miss Me shorts, a pink crop top, and white converse. I went down stairs and grabbed a banana, told my parents where I was going and drove to the park. He was already there so I got out and went to the swing set he was sitting on. We hung out there and just talked, I liked how I could talk to him. I told him things no one ever knew about me. Eventually, we got to the subject of dating. But decided we would never be more than close friends. We hugged for what felt like 20 minutes, then we went our separate ways.
On my way home I stopped by Brittany's house, I stayed over there for a little bit. Her brothers gave me a hard time about how much they were going to miss giving me a hard time. My dad texted me and told me to meet them at Subway since everything was packed up. My brother and I spilt a foot long. Since we were In different cars I asked if I could say some last goodbyes to some friends. When I got home it was about 9:00, which was past Derek's bedtime so I shut the door quietly. Knocked on my parents door quietly and told them goodnight. I was upstairs washing my face, when my phone buzzed. It was Luke, it said "hey I'm really going to miss you" after I dried my face I replied, "You'll have to come visit sometime." I went to my room packed up the last of everything and laid in bed, thinking about if the farm was the same, or if it had changed since I was in kindergarden. I was almost asleep when Derek came in, dragging his stuffed dog that was bigger than he was. He whispered "I'm kinda scared about the farm" then climbed in beside me and got under the blankets.
