"RING RING RING" I hear the alarm clock waking me from my sleep. I understand that the resistance wants to have a meeting, what I dont understand is why it has to be at 4:00 in the morning. I slammed the button on the alarm clock, then stood up to see my best buddie/ roomate Ostin staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Dude you fried it!" Ostin exclaimed.
I looked behind me to see that the alarm clock was charred black. This was the third time I had zapped one of the resistance's alarm clocks.
"We've got to go, it's 3:45" Ostin said.
"Alright, but let's get breakfast first."
On the way we stopped by the cafeteria. I got some eggs and bacon, while Ostin piled high with waffles. As we ate I thought about how the farm base got attacked. My mother nearly got killed, and I wasn't there to save her. I guess I'm just really glad that they got her out of there...
"Michael what time is it?" Ostin asked.
"Time for you to get a watch" I replied.
"No, seriously"
I finally gave in and told him it was 3:55.
"Oh, we got to go!" Ostin said as he quickly got up, leaving the rest of his waffles.
I followed him as we speed-walked down the hall. When we got to the the meeting room we were the last ones there. The whole Electroclan was present, and four resistance officials were also there.
"Good morning Mr. Vey, and Mr. Liss, please have a seat" said one of the officials, "I'd like to tell you why you are here, we have recently recieved information that the Elgen are developing a strange new technology that could wipe out their enemies."
"And let me guess, you want us to destroy it" Jack blurted out.
"Yes you are correct" said the official, " the new technology is on the Elgen's science boat, the Volta. If you accept, we will have you fly in helicopters, then parachute onto the Volta to see what you can do. As we do not know what the technology is, we can not force you to do it, but it would greatly help the resistance if you did. We will now leave you for five minuits to discuss this matter."
I thought about it. We had already done so much for the resistance, but if we didn't go, the technology could hurt us badly. I think we have no choice but to go.
Taylor grabbed my hand, obviously reading my mind.
"You know you don't have to do this if you don't want to" Taylor whispered, "Do you really want to go?"
"Why are you asking me this, you'r reading my mind." I knew she knew that I wanted to go.
"Alright," I said, "If you want to go, raise your hand"
Surprisingly, everyone raised their hands. Just then the three officials came back in.
"Have you made your decision?" they asked.
"Yes, were going." I replied.
"Allright then, your flight leaves tomorrow morning." they said, "Meeting adjourned."
