Chapter Three: The Steel Mansion

Remember when I said that my conversation with Lucas Steel was more uncomfortable than the hard floor I slept on every night? Yeah,  well apparently I underated it. Hell, it was more uncomfortable than watching Audrea humiliate that poor girl.
Don't get me wrong, geez, I have a bed in my room but ever since my dad died two years ago, the bed became a cause for me to be an insomniac so the floor became my remedy for sleep. That was till today.
~ Flashback ~
"I know what you did " The look in his eyes confirmed all my fears.
"w-what are you tt-talking about " I stammered embarrassing even though I already knew the answer.
"The whole mismatching the fuck out of each strand on Audrea's hair, Crystal, it's you" He said as he looked me straight in the eyes as if daring me to prove him wrong
"How?" was the only thing my jumbled brain could filter to my mouth as a whisper.
"I knew what she did to you. Plus it doesn't help that no one knows a fuck about you. Not to mention your reaction when I said so, it all clicks" He said with a shrug as if it was nothing. Well to him, it isn't but I promised my dad that I would finish my schooling so if I got expelled, my life would be over.
"You can't prove it" I stated before I could stop myself. I mean, who am I kidding? Lucas Steel's wealth was enough to satisfy his fifteenth generation and I was here babbling about proof. He didn't even need it, all he had to do was speak. Lucas Steel's words over mine, their choice would be as clear as water.
"Lie detector test. Check it out." He simply said before standing up.
"Oh, and here's the bill, and a tip for your time" He dropped a small stack of money on the table before leaving a very scared and dazzled me behind. Usually, I would be so happy to see so much money but right now, happy was the last thing I could be.
~ End of flashback ~
One of the chefs helped me check up The lie detector test, Even though the name pretty much spoke for itself. Apparently, it was a machine that could check your heartbeat and neural senses to know if you're lying about something plus the modified version did a brain scan. Lucky Steel had me between a hard place and a wall, and the most frustrating thing was that I didn't know when he would strike.

A week later...
I had literally lost my mind. Walking down the hallways, I would see him and it literally made me crazy that he was acting so calm. I didn't know when he would strike and it troubled me so badly. He was tormenting me worse than Audrea and he didn't even know. It's been eight days since the restaurant shit and each night, my eyes would refuse to close in slumber. Nope, not even once. Audrea has a red long hair now, fake as always but I didn't even care. Because of Lucas Steel, I somehow managed to make myself more invisible than always. Presently, I'm sitting in the back shadows of the class on the floor with my black hoodie wrapped around me. And surprisingly, Lucas Steel is sitting at the back perched on a chair. He probably got sick of sitting in the centre of class where students had designated for him so that they could ogle all day while the teacher tried desperately to get their attention. I watched him intently, paying little to no attention to what the teacher was saying.  I could see the outline of his body through the  thin shirt he was wearing, that's a first though. I could see the way his biceps flexed and contracted with the slightest movements and the way the muscles on his back hardened whenever someone passed him a letter. What a fine specimen of manhood, I couldn't take my eyes off him.
Christ, make sure you find a church this week, hon
What the hell is wrong with me? He could destroy my whole life with a snap of his fingers and I was here thinking about him like a desperate fangirl. I decided to close my eyes and try resting till the class would be over, which worked not so well by the way. After talking to himself for an hour straight, the teacher pairs up students for a project, except from Lucas Steel but only because no one was single. I really pity him though, with all the death glares directed at him, he could as well take a trip to hell. Soon enough, the class was over and some students filed out while most of them stayed back to get autographs on their things and parts of their bodies, some parts that I would rather not mention. I'm waiting for them to leave so that I can get out of here but clearly, that's gonna take a lot of time. After waiting for what felt like forever, they finally leave, except Lucas Steel of course. Seriously, is it me or does it feel like my mother hired him to torment me in ways that she couldn't? Ha, as if. Classic joke on my side. Although what I didn't find funny was Lucas Steel turning backwards and looking at me.
"So we meet again" he said as he dropped a smirk that sent me shivers. Did he know I was sitting here all along?
Of course he did, dumbass.
Wow, now my own subconscious is against me. Fabulous.
"I'll send a driver to pick you up at your restaurant by 2 for the project" And before I could question him, he walked out of the class. What the fudgenuts just happened?!?!
