nobody's POV:

There once was this girl, Y/N. Y/N lived in a house, in the middle of nowhere. Nothing for miles of her house. Except, four miles away there was a 7/11. Four miles, 7/11, forty miles until the road ends. Every day was the same thing, wake up, walk to 7/11, buy a lemonade, and walk home. Every. Single. Day.

One day, Y/N woke up. She got out of bed, walked down her stairs, took the eggs out of the fridge, and made herself an omelet. She put her dishes in the sink and went upstairs. She grabbed her favourite pair of sweatpants and her black tube top and got dressed.

As she walked into her bathroom she felt something was different about today. She grabbed her curling iron and sat down on her bathroom counter, starting to curl her hair. She brushed her teeth, grabbed her wallet, and walked towards her front door. She put on her white slip-on Vans and left, locking the door behind her.

As she was walking she started to think. She started to think about her family and where her life had gone from when she used to live in NYC in a big penthouse apartment with her mom, dad, and little sister, Morgan, to living in the middle of South Carolina by herself, with nothing surrounding her. She started to think about the accident. About how if she had gone with her parents to the grocery store instead of storming off to her room if they would still be alive. Or if she'd be dead too.

Morgan, however, went to the store that day but survived the crash. She was badly hurt and rushed to hospital where she was put into a medically induced coma, from which she never woke up. Life had been particularly hard for Y/N, her parents left her lots of money and whatever they left Morgan, went to her.

As Y/N approached the 7/11 she saw something unusual in the parking lot. A 2020 Mercedes Benz. She stopped and examined the car. WKC 847 read the license plate. Y/N slowly approached the 7/11, curious about who would be stopped in the middle of nowhere. All of a sudden a 5'7 brunette girl, early 20s came around the corner. She was focused on her phone and didn't notice Y/N.

"Shit!" She yelled, kicking her car tire and throwing her phone, which landed at Y/N's feet. Y/N picked up her phone and started to walk towards her.

"Are you lost?" Y/N asked the girl, approaching her very slowly. She looked up from the ground and Y/N saw the tears in her eyes. Y/N examined the girl. She had fashion nova jeans on and a Louis Vuitton purse on her arm. She looked at Y/N and then smiled.

"Um... no, not really," The girl answered in a soft Australian accent. She offered a warm smile to Y/N and then turned to her car. "I live in North Carolina and things got complicated. I just started to drive and somehow, after four hours of driving I ended up here. Not realizing that there is nothing to be found within forty miles of this place and nowhere to stay," The girl explained. She opened the driver's side of her car and leaned into the car, to grab something from her passenger seat.

"Well, you dropped this," Y/N said, offering out the phone for the girl to take back. The girl came out of her car and took the phone from Y/N, looking at the cracked screen and sighing.

"Thank you...," The girl paused scanning Y/N. Y/N was confused at first but then understood.

"Oh, Y/N," Y/N added. The girl smiled and threw her phone in her car.

"Alycia," She replied. Y/N paused for a second looking at the ground. She looked up and then remembered why she was here.

"Well, I should probably go, um if you need anything, I just live four miles down the road so feel free to ask," Y/N added walking away from Alycia and into the 7/11. She walked in and smiled, seeing her favourite cashier working today.

"Hey Y/N," Zack cheered as he offered her a smile.

"Hey, Zack. You're busy today I see," Y/N joked knowing that she was normally the only customer that this 7/11 had. Zack looked at Y/N confused. She motioned her head in the direction of the girl standing in the parking lot. Zack caught on and looked out the window.
