"jungkooookkk!" jimin whined from the door of the younger's apartment. the two were planning to head to the local coffee shop that was popular around town to study for exams.
jungkook quickly threw on a black bucket hat, hiding his dark brown hair and grabbed his wallet and backpack, running out of his room to greet a shouting jimin.
"i'm here, calm down" jungkook laughed as he finally left his apartment with jimin by his side, walking towards the coffee shop.
jungkook and jimin were in their second year of college and both majored in different subjects. jungkook went for photography/editing, while jimin majored in dance. they were usually both busy, but they found a good time for studying, since they had multiple exams coming up.
it was close to christmas break, so that meant every student enrolled in college had to take exams, which were absolute hell. both jungkook and jimin were stressed, so they made time at the coffee shop.
the two boys huddled into the warm shop, a contrast to the cold weather in seoul, while the bell on the door rang lightly. the shop was dim and was gathered with people sitting and standing around the tables.
"i'm going to try to find a seat, get in line for now, kook" jimin said as he searched and looked around for a good spot to study.
jungkook quietly stood in line to order, looking at the many options on the menu that were above the cashier. his eyes wandered around the cafe, until he caught his eyes on one of the workers, who was making drinks behind the cashier.
the worker had black hair, hidden in his light brown beret, and an apron wrapped around him. he had tan skin, which complemented him perfectly.
before jungkook knew it, he was next in line to order. luckily, kook knew what he was going to get, so he wasn't too nervous. the other cashier had left to the back, so that left the boy in the beret to take jungkook's order.
"hi, what would you like today?" the cashier said with a smile on his face.
jungkook couldn't process his words for a moment, only just staring at the boy's face. he totally wasn't crushing on a complete stranger. he finally stopped staring and realized that he needed to actually order, not just stare in space.
"sorry, um.. i would like 1 hot caramel macchiato and a cappuccino with 2 1/2 shots of espresso." jungkook let out his words, still a nervous wreck because holy shit, he didn't know he could crush so hard on someone he didn't even know.
"of course, and your total is $11.89" the cashier said as jungkook took out his credit card from his wallet. he paid for the drinks and walked off to find jimin.
he found jimin already on his computer with airpods in, watching the dance his teacher instructed him to do. clearly, jimin worried more about dance than his other classes, which he had exams in. jimin was such a professional with his dancing abilities, it's like he was truly made for it.
"i hope the wait isn't long for our drinks," jungkook sat down, holding the buzzer in his hand that rang when the drinks were ready.
"i hope so too, you should start studying, kook. you don't wanna fail, do you?" jimin took out his right airpod to pause his music and to talk to jungkook.
jungkook shook his head as a response saying 'no' while taking out his computer to look at his study guides and things he needs to review.
they were both immersed in their music and studying that when the buzzer rang, it made them jump. the wait wasn't that long with the drinks getting ready.
jungkook quickly made his way towards the counter to pick up the drinks, seeing the boy's face again, smiling as he passed the drinks over to jungkook.
"ah, thank you." jungkook bowed as he collected the two hot drinks and placed them at the table he was sitting at.
the two enjoyed their study date drinking coffee and being focused with their majors. jungkook wandered off every now and then, continuing to look at his big fat crush of a person he had. he still didn't catch a name for him, though.
"jungkook, i'm tired of this. let's leave"
"oh, okay.."
the two boys collected their belongings after staying a while at the busy coffee shop and left to go back home.
jungkook definitely wants to come back.
