The Camping Trip (One Direction Story)

Chapter One

Y/N's POV:
"Are we almost there yet?" an impatient Niall asks from beside me, clearly exhausted from the hour long road trip.

"Would you shut up for 2 seconds and let my handsome boyfriend drive?" Kinsley, Harry's gf of a year snaps at Niall fluttering her eyelashes at her bf from the passenger seat.

Harry chuckles a bit.

"It's alright babe." Harry says resting one of his hands on Kinsley's upper thigh while steering the car wheel with the other.

"We've got about 10 minutes left until we reach the campsite." Harry continues, glancing at Niall through the rearview mirror to answer his question.

"Thank god! We're sweating back here. I guess trying to cram all 10 of us in this tiny little thing wasn't such a good idea after all." Niall laughs.

I laugh back looking at how close we are shoved in Harry's fairly small vehicle.

Niall is to my left taking the window seat, Zayn to my right and Louis on the other side of Zayn while Liam, his newly announced gf/my best friend Mabel, my ex bf Cole, and Kinsley's cousin Aera are squashed in the back of the suv that holds all of our camping supplies.

"Just hang in a bit longer mate. We're nearly there." Harry states.

Just a few minutes after Harry's announcement the car comes to a stop in the middle of the woods.

"We're here!" Kinsley shouts jumping out of the passenger seat door slamming it behind her.

"Finally, I thought I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion before we arrived." Louis being his typical dramatic self says climbing out of the car as well, laughing, with Zayn me and Niall following shortly behind.

"Oh suck it up Lou, you're over exaggerating...like always." Kinsley mutters the last part under her breath.

Me and Niall give each other a glance.

Kinsley is always coming at us for every little thing we say. All of us have never really gotten along with her. It must be hard on Harry having to watch his gf and his best friends always arguing with each other. We have tried getting along with her to support Harry but it just never works out. We've given up on the chance over a few months ago.

"You know I don't really like your attitude today...actually..ever, so why don't you go rub it off on someone else, yeah?" Louis snaps back at Kinsley, something we've all wanted to do.

Kinsley scoffs and pushes her way through Zayn and Louis and walks to the back of the car to grab her bags with Harry, Aera and Cole.

Liam and Mabel make their way over to us, overhearing what just previously happened.

"Ughhh" Louis groans.

"Every time we're all together she picks a fight, why is Harry even with her anymore? She can't get along with any of us..." Louis whispers aggravated.

"Lou it's ok. Let's just ignore it, don't let her comments towards any of us ruin the fun weekend we have planned. Alright?" I ask calmly looking at Louis.

He sighs but agrees.

"Alright. I won't say anything next time." Louis replies much more calm now.

"Good, now come on and let's get unpacked so we can partyyy!!" I shout grabbing one of Louis hands and dragging him to the remaining bags, earning a laugh from everyone including Louis.

A few minutes later

We've all grabbed our belongs from the car and are now making our way into the cabin to get situated. We rented out a cabin with only 3 rooms with 1 king sized bed in each and brought a few tents that the rest of us will be sharing.

After a little discussion we have decided on Harry and Kinsley staying in one of the rooms, Aera in another and Cole in the last while the rest of us split up into 2 tents outside of the cabin.

"Liam, you and Mabel can take one of the tents and me Niall Zayn and Louis will share the other." I offer.

"Sounds ok." Zayn replies earning a nod and a pat on the back from Liam.

"Thanks mate." Liam says as he makes his way outside to set up.

"Thanks Y/N." Mabel says pulling me in for a hug.

"Of course, just no funny business! We're only going to be 5 feet apart from you two and I would really like to get some sleep tonight." I joke.

"I can't make any promisesssss." Mabel sing-songed following Liam outside of the cabin.

I share a laugh with Niall who was standing next to me and overheard the conversation.

"Alright we should probably go set up our tent now." Niall tells me Zayn and Louis.

"You guys can go ahead with that. I'm goint to go stock the fridge for tonight." Louis winks turning around, making his way towards the kitchen with his bags which I assume are only filled with beer and alcoholic beverages.

I shake my head and playfully hit Niall on the arm.

"I guess it's just us three then." I laugh walking back outside, following in Liam and Mabels footsteps.

Finally after about 30 mins of struggling me, Zayn and Niall got the tent set up and all ready to eventually sleep in later on tonight.

"Uhhh." Niall huffs.

"That definitely took longer than expected." He continues sitting down on a nearby log to examine our creation.

"Well if we didn't put it up backwards the first time maybe it wouldn't have taken so long." Zayn and i laugh as Niall rolls his eyes.

"I've never done this before! Give me a break!" Niall says defensively but joins in on the laugh shortly after.

"Mabel do you want to come with me to gather some firewood for the bonfire tonight?" I shout.

"Sure! Just give me one sec!"

"Aww babe come on, pleaseee?" I hear Liams voice begging to Mabel from inside their shared tent that is already zipped up.

"No babe, later on. We have all trip!" Mabel responds as she climbs out from the tent re-buttoning her top.

"Oh my god, already?!" I joke, now realizing what Liam was begging for.

Mabel just rolls her eyes and starts heading down a path in the woods with me following right behind.

"This is going to be one crazy trip." I think to myself.
