The sky was dark and angry while rain threatened to come crashing through into the fire lit, shabby cottage. 5 year old Alex cuddled his 4 year old sister, Roxanne class to the only source of warmth in their run down home.
"Bro the storm is so scawy," Roxy said as a crashing boom came in as if it was on cue. She huddled to Alex's chest, trying to make her nerves calm.
"Shhh... Try to go sleep sis, time goes faster as you sleep," Alex said trying to sooth his little sister.
"Night bro, love you," Roxanne mumbled as the world of dreams pulled her in.
"Love you too sis," Alex whispered.
He waited until he heard his little sister's deep breaths before heading to dream land himself. The sound rain started to grow further and further away when Alex heard faint creaks from the floor board.
"I'm sorry kids"
Alex suddenly felt him and Roxanne begin to change shape as a blinding light surrounded them, preventing Alex from seeing who did this to them. Suddenly, a wave of exhaustion hit him as his tired eyes started to close...
Morning sunlight began gleam through the grey (I'm British) tinted windows as the birds sung their morning songs. Alex, however, woke up to a blood curling scream. Alex shot up only to find his body completely changed.
His feet became sharp talons that were connected by twig-like legs while his torso was rounder and covered in black feathers. His arms were replaced by similar feather covered wings. His mouth had stretched into an orange beak. He had become a crow...
In front of him was a black tabby cat with hazel eyes, similar to his sister's eyes...
"Sis are you alright?!" Alex blurted out.
"Yeah, are you?" She asked worried.
"Yeah but we gotta figure out who did this and see if they could turn us back."
