Ch.4| Teaching Devils of the One at the Apex

Mavros POV:

"Do you have anything to say about taking me a partner?", Ddraig asked me. 

"I don't have anything to say, I wanted your power, so I took it.", I told Ddraig without any remorse. 

"I don't care about you taking me because I could still see everything that Issei kid did and I hated it.", Ddraig said. 

"Agreed, killing him crossed my mind when I took his power, but it isn't worth it," I told Ddraig.

 "Your right partner it isn't, he is of no importance now, but what do you fight for?", Ddraig asked me. 

"I fight because it allows me to grow stronger. The more I grow the less tied down I become by others.", I answered Ddraig.

"The essence that every dragon has is what you're feeling even if you are not a dragon. Dragons have a lot of pride and they hate when people take what is theirs or are tied down by others. You will be a perfect host.", Ddraig told me. 

"This will be the start of a great relationship. I'll try my best not to let you down.", I told Ddraig. 

"I don't doubt it, partner, you should get some sleep you have to meet with the Gremory girl in the morning.", Ddraig told me then went quiet. 

Looking at my gauntlet I smiled because I knew I wouldn't be alone on my journey. 'The future is looking bright.', I thought and closed my eyes and let sleep take me.

"Welcome, Mavros. This is the Occult Research Club(ORC).", Rias told me.

I had woken up around nine and after getting ready, I headed to the ORC and made it there by ten. I was currently in the ORC room and Rias' whole peerage was here besides her bishop. "What do you want to know?", I asked. 

"Tell us how you know about the Supernatural.", Rias told me. 

"I know because I was born into it. Nothing else to say about it.", I answered with a semi-truth. I doubted they would believe God reincarnated me. 

"If you were born into it, why didn't we know that you were here in Kouh? This area is under the ownership of the devils. Which means you are trespassing.", Rias told me with a condescending tone. 

"No, I have no affiliations with any factions meaning, I didn't have to let you know I moved here.", I told her.

"I'm sorry, you mentioned you were born into the supernatural. I figured you had to be a part of a faction.", Rias told me with a look of surprise on her face. 

"I have advice coming off like you own the place to everyone you meet could be deadly.", I warned Rias. 

"Is that a threat?" Rias Knight asked, forming a blade ready to attack me. 

"No, Kiba it isn't. It is honest advice.", I answered back. 

"Calm down Kiba, I will take that under consideration Mavros, thank you.", Rias told me. "However, now that we established that you aren't hostile. I have a question will you join my peerage.", Rias asked me with hope in her eyes. 

"No.", I denied instantly. 

"That's perfect I have either pawns left or a bishop... wait did you decline?", Rias said shocked.

"I refuse to follow someone weaker than me.", I said with a glare. 

"I may not look it but I am strong.", Rias told me with an offended tone. 

"You are weak. You seem to believe that you are strong because of your family but you are weak yourself. That is where your problem lies. I am strong while you are nothing.", I said with a hint of my pride coming through.
