*Rosalies POV*
Alice had made a party for Bella's birthday. Let's just say it didn't end well.

Bella being the clumsy human she is managed to cut herself opening a present.

Jasper lost control and nearly attacked her. We managed to calm him down while Carlisle stitched Bella up from Edward throwing her into the table behind them.

Uhhh. Now we have to move just to 'keep Bella safe'. If Alice hadn't thrown that party we wouldn't have to move.

Edward has gotten back from dropping Bella off and we were now discussing where to move.

"So where can we move. Where's a place we can stay hidden." Emmett asked.

"I don't know yet." Carlisle said.

We all went into silence thinking of a place we could move.

Words one of my friends from a few decades ago played in my head. 'If you ever need a place to move to, there's always a house here in Luma waiting for you.'

Luma. Luma! Aha.

"What is Luma?" Edward spoke, reading my thoughts. I glared at him.

"What are you talking about, Edward." Alice asked.

"Luma is a town we can go to." I answer her. "I just need to call my friends who lives there and see if there's still a place available."

"Rose, when did you make friends that I don't know about. That's highly unfair." Emmett said, pouting.

"You'll meet them when we move there." I tell him.

"Good." He says.

I pull out my phone and dial her number.

"Hello." She answered.

"Hey, Brooke." I said.

"Rosie. Oh my god, it's been so long since I've seen you. How are you? We miss u." Brooke said in her usual cheery tone.

"I know. Ive been better. My family has been through some insane things lately. I miss u all too." I reply.

Everyone was watching my phone call. They were all curious to hear all about Brooke.

"I was wondering if that house you built for us was still available?" I ask her.

"Yes. Of course. Does this mean your moving to Luma?" She asked, excitement in her tone.

"Yes actually. We are." I say, smiling. I hear her squeal and then say something to her little group of friends in an ancient language.

"Yeeeeessssss! Ok. Meet me at the city limits in two days. I'll be waiting. Don't be late. I miss u. See u soon." She says. I laugh at her forwardness.

"Alright. See ya." I say before hanging up.

"This Brooke of yours sounds very cheery." Esme says.

"She is." I answer. "You will love her."

We go pack our bags and get ready for the flight to Luma.

*Time skip*
*Edwards POV*

I had just said a heartbreaking lie to Bella to get her away from my horrid life.

I was in my room, dry sobbing, while I waited for morning. Next morning we were going on a flight to Luma, where ever that may be.

It confuses me that Rosalie hates Bella but has a human friend herself.

"Edward, lets go. Our flight is leaving." I hear Rosalie say.

I vamp speed downstairs, bag in hand.

"I know, it's hard but it's for the best, son." Carlisle says. I don't answer.

We all drive to the airport and get on our plane.

*Time skip the plane ride because I'm lazy*

Once we landed, Rose was practically jumping out of her seat. When has she ever been this excited to see someone.

We get in a taxi and we get transported to the city limits.

"You sure you want to go to that town?" The cab driver questioned us.

"Yes." Esme replied.

'They obviously have a death wish.' I hear his thoughts.

What did he mean death wish.

"What's wrong with that town?" I ask, curious to hear the answer.

"It's a ghost town. Literally. Ghosts live there. They scare people away from the town. If you step one foot in the town, they claim your lives." He tells us.

"Rose. Are you sure this friend of yours is alive." I ask, to quietly for the human to hear.

"Yes." She didn't give a further explanation.

I tried to read her mind but all she was thinking about was a random song as to not give anything away.

"Here we are." The taxi driver tells us. "Good luck."

We got out and made our way toward the town. It looked completely deserted. An eerie grey fog covers it.

Then a young girl about the age of 14 steps out from the fog. She wasn't there a second ago. She had wavy blonde hair with blue tips and sea blue eyes.

"Rosie!" She calls, running into Rosalie's arms.

Roses friend... is a fourteen year old. She needs to explain.

"Hey Brooky." She says as she hugs back.

"You must be her family. It's a pleasure to meet you all." She says.

"Brooke, this is my brothers Jasper and Edward. My sister Alice. My parents for all intents and purposes Esme and Carlisle. And my boyfriend Emmett." Rose introduces us. I wave at her. She waves back.

She looked amazing. Beautiful even. Wait, wasn't I with Bella. Bella was my mate.

We hear another voice call something in an ancient language I did not know. Brooke called something back in the same language.

"Come on. The others are waiting." She says, pulling Rose toward the city.

"Brooke, sweetie. Maybe you should stay away from that town. We don't want you getting hurt." Esme says, gently.

"That's the glamour. On the inside it's the most beautiful town you could ever lay eyes on. You will fit in perfectly there." Brooke explains.

We follow her as she steps into the fog and disappears...
