Falling (Part 2)

(Chloe POV)

I couldn't get Lucifer off my mind these past 5 months. I couldn't decide if I wanted him back in my life or if he should just stay out of my life. I didn't know how to feel about him being the actual devil. I mean he has never hurt me or Trixie. That's a good sign. But he's hurt many other people. Even if they are criminals. My mind is so confused on what's best for me. What's best for Trixie. I tried to take my mind off it and go on with my life for right now. That's until I heard Trixie scream. I rushed into her room with my gun. "I suggest you put the gun down". It was Lucifer he had Trixie in his arms threating to kill her with a knife he had by her neck. I put my gun down. "Why are you doing this Lucifer". "Well that's the thing. I'm not Lucifer". I was so confused at what he meant. "My name is Micheal I'm Lucifer's twin brother". He smiled. "How come he's never brought you up". "Probably because the last time we talked I almost killed him. Anyway go sit on your couch or she dies". I nod and go and sit down not wanting him to hurt Trixie. He walks out and just stands not to far from me looking like he's waiting for someone. "Who are you waiting for". "Oh well I'm waiting for Luci of course he knows that I was coming for you". "Your not gonna kill Trixie are you". Tears started to stream down my face. "I don't know yet I haven't decided. But I suggest you stay quiet. I looked down into my lap and just let the tears fall into my lap. Until I hear someone walk in and I look up. It's Lucifer. He see's Trixie first and then looks at me. Lucifer's the first to speak up."Brother let the spawn go". "Make me brother. You got weak cause you love this little creature and that detective". "Your wrong Micheal they make me wanna live. They make me wanna fight to keep them safe. They make me stronger". Micheal laughs. "If you truly believe that your delusional". "No you are if you think that i'm gonna allow you to hurt them". I couldn't believe after I hadn't talked to him for 5 months he still cared as much as he did before. I knew at this point. I loved him and I needed him in my life. Before I knew it he was in front of Micheal punching him in the face. Making him drop the knife and release Trixie. Trixie instantly ran to me. I lifted her into my arms. I looked back at Lucifer wondering if I should leave him. "go". I hesitated. "GO!". After he yelled I rushed out and started driving away. I called Dan and gave Trixie to him. Then I knew I had to help Lucifer so I called Maze and Amenadiel. They both were more than willing to help if it meant saving Lucifer. I ended up picking them both up and rushing back to my house but there was no sign of them. Amenadiel got out and flew around until he saw something falling from the sky. He guided me to a beach I quickly got out and saw one figure hit the water. Amenadiel dived in after it. I knew it wasn't Lucifer the wings weren't white. That's when I saw him he was completely free falling he was gonna hit the water. I ran and jumped into the water and started swimming out I had to save him. I can't lose him now. I couldn't tell where he was gonna land but when he did it was hard to miss. I swam as fast as I could to him. I grabbed him and tried so hard to get him above the surface. But with his wings he was to heavy. That's when Maze helped me and we got him up to the surface. We brought him back to shore where there was no sign of life at all. I checked for a pulse. Nothing. "No". Tears formed in my eyes. Threatening to fall.I started CPR but nothing. Maze tried helping but nothing was working. I kept doing CPR even though Maze said he's gone. I refused to let him die like this. "God he's your son he doesn't deserve to go out this way. Please don't take him from me". I cried into Lucifer's chest before I felt his chest move. Then a gurgling sound I rolled him on his side where he coughed up water.  He looked like he was in a haze he couldn't tell what was happening around him. I called an ambulance and just hoped he could hold on till then. "Lucifer I need you to fold in your wings please". I begged over and over as I heard the ambulance. Just before they got there he forced them back in even though I could tell some parts were badly broken. The paramedics put him on a stretcher and rushed him to the hospital. I went with in the ambulance I needed to know he was gonna be okay. On the way he was in and out consciousness he even flat-lined right as we got to the hospital. They rushed him into surgery and wouldn't tell me if they got his heart beating again or not. It makes me worry that he won't pull threw. Maze and Amenadiel come up to me. "How is he"? "I have no clue". I had some tears in my eyes. Maze hugs me. "He'll pull threw Decker". "Shouldn't she be away from him though. She makes him vulnerable". "It won't matter. His main injury is the cuts from Micheal those won't heal for awhile since he used a celestial weapon". "But it would help with his other injuries that he got when he hit the water. He has to have some broken bones from that". I take a seat as they start arguing. I can't take this right now. I just need to know that he's okay. Eventually they both storm off and I have no Idea if there coming back. I don't know how much time passes but before I know it I dose off to sleep. I wake up to someone shaking me. "Miss are you here for Mr.Morningstar"? "Ya". I say wiping my eyes. "He's out of surgery but in critical condition". "What injuries did he have". "Well as you know he had been stabbed and what looks like cut a couple times. He broke about 3 ribs,he broke one of legs and then fractured his knee on his good leg. He had a spinal fracture and then he also has a broken collar bone so his right arm will be in a sling for a little while". I couldn't fathom how Lucifer was still alive or if he did pull threw how much pain he'd be in. "I know this is a lot to take in. You can go see him if you'd like just be careful though." "Thank you". I walked into his room and when I saw him It brought tears to my eyes. He looked awful. He was hooked up to several machines but the one that caught my eye was the tube going down his throat. He couldn't breathe on his own. Tears starting streaming down my face again. I couldn't hold them in. I couldn't bear to see him like this. I grabbed his hand and just whispered to him. "I love you so much I wish I would have not been so distant to you. I just wanna make it up to you". I kiss the top of his hand. I hear two people walk in and already know who it is. "Holy shit". Maze instantly blurts out. Amenadiel just stares at Lucifer in disbelief. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT". She shouts at me. She gets in my face looking ready to punch me. "How is this my fault". "He's hurt because of you". She's about to punch me when Amenadiel stops her. "Stop this isn't gonna help solve anything". "It's gonna make me feel a whole lot better". He pushes her to the ground before she can do anything. She gets up ready to punch Amenadiel but before she can a loud beeping sound makes her stop in her tracks. We all look at Lucifer. He's stopped breathing. Doctors push us out of the room and as were waiting outside Maze storms off. Amenadiel goes after her to try and reason with her. I hear the clicking of heels and see Linda coming down the hall. "Chloe how's he doing". Tears run down my face once again. She hugs me and I just cry into her shoulder. We stood there for around 5 minutes until we sat and talked. The doctor came out after like half an hour. "How is he". "He's stable again but these next 24 hours will be critical. He should live but if something were to come up he could still end up not making it. I also don't want that other girl and guy with you going in unless there alone. I don't want them having another argument". "Okay thank you". After he walked away me Linda went and got me some clothes,food and a pillow and blanket since she knew that I wasn't gonna leave him. "Thank you". I went into Lucifer's room and sat in the chair where I ended up falling asleep wondering what these 24 hours could bring.
