Picking up the Peices of Kaizer King

They're home

**Kaizer** 

I woke up to a sleeping Matt still in my bed. An evil grin came across my face as I pulled up my freezing bare feet. I lifted his shirt up ever so slightly making his abs visible, to place my freezing feet on his cold belly. 

"Holly gahhhhh! Kaizer!!" He yelled. Thump! "Ouch! Crap Kaizer" Matt was rubbing his head where he fell. 

Thats when things got weird. 

"Kaizer!!! are you okay? Where are you? KAIZER!" Benny yelled in panick

"I'm right here Benny?”

 "Thank heavens I thought... never mind what I thought... Im so sorry Miss. King, but what was that loud sound?”

 "Oh I shoved Matt off the bed because his hideous face was too close to mine." I stuck my tongue out at Matt. 

"Oh alright. Pancakes are on the table Miss King and the driver will be here in about 15 mins.”

 "Thanks Benny! You're great!" As Benny walked out you could hear a very quite sigh of relief. What was he so worried about? 

As Benny walked out I looked at Matt. "Hahahahaaaaa you looked so funny! Like an elephant trying to fly!" 

"Elephants do fly!! His name is dumbo for your information!” matt shot back

 "Disney nerd!” I yelled before running down stairs. Well attempted. Matt was quick to grab me an hold me outside the window. By the way I do live on the second floor.  

"Matt!! Pull me in right now!! Matt!!! I'm gonna die!!" 

"Take it back!"

I looked back to quickly reply, "Never!" Matt of course didn't drop me. He loves me to much for me to die. I hope... 

Curt was an hour late so by the time he got here Matt and I just decided to skip. I really don't feel like going to detention anyway. Curt looked mad because his pay check just got knocked down by one day of work. 

"Sucks to be this late eh?" I said. Which appeared to make him even more mad. 

"Matty!!! Matty!!! Where is theee?" Matt and I play lame games we played when we were kids when we skip school. Therefore we are playing hide and go seek. Matt always win. I don't even understand how. 

“BOO!"

 "Oh lord jesus!!" I jumped grabbing my heart, almost falling in the process.

"It's a fire, I didn't grab no shoes or nothin’." He started jamming to a one hit wonder youtube video. 

We both started laughing again.

 "shhhhh" I shushed him as I placed my ear on the door. Matt did the same thing. 

"Benny!! How has the house been?" asked a familiar male and a female voice. 

Of all days to skip we chose the day my parents are coming home I said in complete anger with myself for not paying attention. 

"Mom!! Dad!!!" As I walked out of my room. 

My mothers face turned from happiness to utter disgust. 

"Why aren't you in school? Along with... him?" My mom wasn't fond of Matt for some reason I'm not sure why though.

 "Our driver was late and” I began explaining.

 "And what!?” My mom yelled back. “And so you decided to skip? Great thinker you are. It was great seeing you Benny. I must go out to the store though. I need um.. stuff of course." She smiled and left. 

Fighting back tears, I ran back up to my room before I even talked to my dad. Matt followed just a little slower. 

"Honey?" He said as he rubbed my head as I cried. 

"I shouldn't cry!" I yelled while sobbing. 

"It's okay princess." He pulled me into a tight hug while I cried. 

"Why doesn't she love me?" I asked. 

"I'm sure she does. She just doesn't know how to show it." Matt assured me.

I pushed Matt away. "NO! Why doesn't she want me Matt? I've tried so hard since I was able to walk around to make her proud or to make her smile but all she does is leave Matt! She doesn't tell me she loves me! She doesn't tell me I was the apple of her eye! She's not a MOM! Why doesn't she want me!" I was actually screaming now. Matt stared at me with a sad expression. 

"I don't know" he choked out. He held a blank emotionless expression. He felt pain for me that I didn't even understand.

Like a knight in shinning armor in came Benny. He cocooned me into his arms and told me to cry it all out. 

"Shhhh shhhh shhh baby it's okay. She'll come around. Shh." It was weird. Whenever I cry over my mom, Benny cries with me. It's like he knows my pain. Like he has gone through major pain with a mom as well. Or with my mom either way. Im glad I have Benny here. 

My dad was waiting in the kitchen with a glass of Scotch. 

"Hi daddy." I mumbled.

 Matt stayed in my room incase I needed to come back. 

"Hi baby." He replied.

 My dad was a great dad but anytime he got frustrated he drank. When he started drinking he doesn't stop. He has swung on Benny a few times. Benny just tells me to go to my room after my dad has had a couple to many. 

"Is it because of me?" I asked. 

Benny isn't here to save me this time. He had to go clean the mess my parents created in their room.

 “What?" He questioned

 "Why do you drink?" Before I knew it was coming a fist hit me across my face. I yelped in pain. But before he could hit me again, Matt caught his hand and pinned him to the ground. 

Matt was a varsity wrestler. "Sorry Mr. King but it's time you stop drinking." As my dad laid there on the ground he fell asleep.  I was still standing there holding my face in shock as Matt then took me up to my room and started looking at the now appearing bruise on my face. 

"What the hell were you thinking? He's drinking Kaizer. That down there isn't your dad that you love. He changes when he drinks and you know that.” he yelled at me as if I were a child trying to cross the street without looking both ways

 "I love my dad! I just wanted the truth! It isn't his fault! Thats the first time he's ever hit me! I promise!" 

He pulled me into a tight hug. "I know Kaizer." "I know." 

The next day dad couldn't stop apologizing to me after Matt told him what happened. Dad went to the store and bought a hundred roses and a giant teddy bear for me. Then he took her and Matt to a indoor water park where they laughed and had a fantastic time. At the end of the day they all piled up in the car to get ice cream. 

"Kaizer.." Jayden called out. 

"Yes Daddy?”

 "I love you. And I'm trying really hard to be a good dad. I promise.." 

"You are a great dad, daddy. Don't let anyone tell you different. Love you. Goodnight!" 

Matt went home seeing how he hadn't been home in two days. 

3 chapters one night. Might do another one. Haven't decided yet. Vote!!
