Cricket awoke to find Blue was not with her. She assumed he went to work already so she got out of bed to get breakfast.

When she opened the door to the fridge she found a note that said:

Hey Cricket, I caught this for you before I left. I also have to let you know I'll have to work late tonight. I hope you have a good day.

Love, Blue.

Cricket smiled at the note and under it was some food. She happily ate it. When she finished it, she decided to do some dishes because they weren't going to do themselves.

When she was finally done after what she guessed was an hour she decided to read a book. It was called History of Pantala.

While she was reading she felt something strange. She looked down and saw there was water on the floor.

Her heart stopped.

I'M GIVING BIRTH! She thought with panic. RIGHT NOW! She was starting to feel pain so she rushed to the phone and dialed 911.

"911, what's the emergency?" a female voice asked Cricket.

"H-hello I'm going to in labor and I'm alone!" Cricket yelled to the dispatcher holding her stomach with one talon.

"Ok, take deep breaths and do you know where the husband is?"

"Yes, he is at work right now"

"Ok  I will contact your husband."

"Thank you, thank you!"

Cricket then hung up and laid on the floor in pain, waiting.

Blue's P.O.V

Blue felt like something was wrong. He couldn't tell what it was though. A few minutes later his boss said he got a phone call for him. Confused, he asked what it was and his boss said to come into his office and Blue followed him.

The phone was on hold when they got there and his boss picked it up and gave it to Blue.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Hi, is this Blue?" a voice asked him.

"Yes"

"Good, what I needed to tell you was your wife is in labor."

"WHAT?!" Blue screamed. "WHERE IS SHE?!"

"She is at your house," the voice responded. "Waiting for you."

Blue instantly gave the phone back to his boss and told him he needed to leave, luckily his boss understood and he left. Blue flew as fast and hard as he could without stopping once.

When he finally got there he slammed into the door and looked around. He saw Cricket laying on the floor holding her stomach with one talon and her face streaked with tears and he ran over.

"Cricket!" he shouted. "I heard what happened, are you ok?!"

She looked up at him and she launched at him and gave him a hug and whispered into his ear "It hurts. A lot."

"I know," he said helping her lie down on her back. "But you got to pull through it." He took one of her talons in his and she almost toke the blood flow out of his hand but he kept it there so he could comfort her. Cricket's face was streaked with tears and pain.

Cricket let out a cry of pain and screamed "BLUE! IT HURTS!"

"I know, I know" Blue said, "But keep pushing."

With one extremely loud scream from Cricket, she pushed out an egg. It had black and blue stripes in the center and the top of it was yellow. It was beautiful.

"Look Cricket, where parents now!" Blue exclaimed, he then wrapped his wings around her. Her breath was heavy and she smiled up at him. He then just sat there holding Cricket in his arms.
